The perfect stay. Before staying I was interested to see what accommodation rated as a perfect 10 would provide. I now fully understand. Amanda and Phil provided the perfect place to stay. I loved the peace and quiet, the accommodation was spotlessly clean & comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. An extra, and very welcome, step was the amazing welcome basket containg bread, milk, fruit chocolate and amazing jam. I had such a lovely stay that we are now seriously thinking of relocating to the local area. I have absolutely no reservations in highly recommending this stay to anyone who wants a peaceful getaway to the countryside. The local town of Ashover was a very nice walk away. I had a lovely day in the town, eating in 1 of the 3 lovely looking pubs and watching a game of cricket.

Relax & enjoy the peace in this haven of tranquility where the noisiest thing you will hear has 4 legs or a beak!! Plug in your electric vehicle and once all your batteries are recharged venture out and enjoy this stunning part of the world. Feed your soul with the fabulous views, breathe in the fresh air and stretch those legs in the beautiful Derbyshire Peaks and Dales. We may only be minutes away from the amenities but in Northedge we are worlds away from the clamour.
Phil and Amanda escaped to the country from their busy banking and teaching lives when their children flew the nest and are usually to be found with a trowel or a spade pottering around the garden or chasing the cats, chickens and dog around..They are never short of a hedge to cut, a wall to build, planting, weeding not to mention mowing, sweeping and of course drinking lots of tea..The latest project is building a wild life pond down the bottom of the garden near the stream and youmay be lucky enugh to see baby ducklings down there next year if all goes to plan!
Quiet country lanes with rural views and stone built cottages. You will see cows grazing and horse riders clip clopping along the way. Lots of walkers and hikers wander through. Parking is plentiful on site but buses, trains and East Midlands airport is within easy reach.
