Very clean, cosy and close to the Newark Showgrounds. The warmth and friendliness of Sheila and her staff was absolutely wonderful. If you are attending anything in Newark it is a fantastic location.

I HAVE TRAVELED AND WORKED ABROAD IN THE HOSPITALITY BUSINESS, SWEDEN/SWITZERLAND/SPAIN/TURKEY AND OF COURSE GREAT BRITAIN, I HAVE GREAT EXPECTATIONS AND HAVE PUT A LOT OF THOUGHT INTO MY SMALL BUSINESS. GUESTS NEED TO FEEL WELCOMED AND COMFORTABLE IN NICE SURROUNDINGS. ALSO A GOOD QUALITY BREAKFAST TO SET YOU UP FOR THE DAY. I LIKE TO BE PAMPERED AND LOOKED AFTER AND THEREFORE FEEL GUESTS WOULD TOO, THAT IS WHY I HAVE ADDED LITTLE EXTRA TOUCHES TO SPOIL YOU. YOU HAVE YOUR OWN PERSONAL DINNING ROOM WITH EXTRA CROCKERY FOR THAT EVENING WERE YOU JUST WONT TO HAVE A TAKEAWAY AND QUITE NIGHT IN, OR THERE IS PLENTY OF NICE EATERIES AROUND THE AREA FOR THAT SPECIAL OCCASION. IN YOUR DINNING ROOM IS A FRIDGE WITH FRESH MILK AND BOTTLED WATER. HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE WHITE DOVE BED AND BREAKFAST WE ARE SO CLOSE TO THE NEWARK SHOWGROUND IN FACT THE NEAREST BED AND BREAKFAST TO SHOWGROUND, THAT IT IS IN WALKING DISTANCE. SO IF ITS A PARTY/WEDDING YOUR GOING TO OR FESTIVAL NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT GETTING HOME. THEY HOST MANY ACTIVITIES INCLUDING THE FAMOUS ANTIQUES FARE/TRUCK FEST AND MUCH MORE. ON TOP OF THIS WE ARE SO ACCESSIBLE TO NEWARK/LINCOLN/GRANTHAM AND SURROUNDING AREAS. WE ARE JUST OF THE A17/A46/A1 MAKING TRAVELLING ON TO OTHER AREAS A GOOD STOP OVER. THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO IN NEWARK AND IT WELL WORTH THE VISIT. I HAVE ON MANY OCCASIONS VISITED THE NEWARK AIR MUSEUM WHICH IS OF GREAT INTEREST TO ME AND MY FAMILIES PAST. MY FAMILY LOVE THIS AREA AND FIND IT QUITE TRANQUIL AND LOVE TO WALK, SO FIND LIVING HERE IDEAL, FROM SHERWOOD FOREST/RUFFORD ABBEY AND COUNTRY PARK/BELTON WOODS AND MANY OTHER LOVELY PLACES. WE ALSO LIKE TO EAT AND FIND THE EATERIES NEAR NEWARK CASTLE A BONUS, AS ITS ON THE RIVER TRENT AND PLEASANT TO WALK AS WELL. EXCITING NEWS WE HAVE NOW ADDED A NEW ROOM. THE GARDEN ROOM WITH A VIEW SMALLER THAN FAMILY ROOM BUT ITS IDEAL FOR A FEW NIGHTS AWAY. YOU ALSO GET USE OF LIVING ROOM/DINNING AREA.
THERE IS SO MUCH TO NEWARK FROM CIVIC WAR MUSEUM/NEWARK CASTLE/NEWARK MARKET PLACE, YOU WILL NEED A COUPLE OF DAYS TO APPRECIATE IT. YOU HAVE THE THEATRE PALACE AND OF COURSE CINEMA'S TO VISIT ON RAINY DAYS. WE HAVE A LOVELY MARKET PLACE WITH LOTS OF SMALL ANTIQUE AND BOUTIQUE SHOPS, LITTLE CAFES WITH OUTSIDE EATING AREAS TO WATCH THE WORLD GO BY. MARKET DAYS ARE WEDNESDAY/SATURDAY AND SMALLER MARKETS ON MONDAY. WELL WORTH THE VISIT. LINCOLN IS STRAIGHT ON TO THE A46 FROM HERE AND AGAIN WORTH VISITING BIGGER OF COURSE AND MORE YOUR TRADITIONAL TOWN WITH A MAJOR SHOPPING PRECINCT AND MAJOR OUTLETS. DON'T MISS LINCOLN CASTLE AND CATHEDRAL ITS QUITE BEAUTIFUL AND THE BAILGATE HAS PLENTY OF CRAFTY BOUTIQUE STYLE SHOPS, ONCE AGAIN NICE EATING PLACES. ITS ALSO FULL OF NIGHTLIFE AND PLENTY OF THINGS FOR THE YOUNG ONES TO DO. I PERSONALLY HAVE VISITED AND TRIED MANY OF THE THINGS I HAVE RECOMMENDED AND WOULD NOT MENTION OTHERWISE. I KNOW YOU WILL LOVE ARE LITTLE MARKET TOWN AS I DO. PLEASE BE AWARE THE WHITE DOVE IS ADJACENT TO THE A17. SHOWGROUND SIDE OF DROVE LANE AND NOT INTO THE VILLAGE AS MANY SAT NAVS TEND TO SEND YOU THERE.
