Woodpeckers is a private annexe attached to our house with its own entrance and private patio area with charcoal bbq. We have a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven, fridge with small freezer, kettle, microwave. Tea and coffee are provided. Smart 40 inch TV in lounge with comfortable sofa/sofa bed if required. Bedroom has a kingsize ziplink bed which can be made into 2 singles if required. Complimentary soaps and shampoo provided. Pool available May to Mid Sept.
Welcome to Ferndale Holiday Lets. My name is Debbie, and my co-host is Brian. We live at Ferndale and have been living here for 14 years. We enjoy being outside in the garden, and I like pottering in the vegetable garden and tending to my my rescue hens who have been with us for a few weeks now. We enjoy walking our black labrador Fred, whom you will see wandering around the garden. He loves to go out for walks in our local countryside. We look forward to welcoming you to our annexes. The village of Alresford (Essex) is a good location for the University of Essex in Wivenhoe. Also close to the coastal area of Brightlingsea. Alresford Creek is a lovely Riverside walk along to Wivenhoe or further on to Colchester, which is about 8 miles away. You can stop for a drink by the river at the Rose and Crown in Wivenhoe. Bus service. Pick up at the top of the road, which takes you to Colchester, Wivenhoe (Essex University), Brightlingsea, and Clacton. Train service. 10 minute walk to the station. Direct train to Colchester and London Liverpool Street or towards the coast of Frinton Walton and Clacton-on-Sea. Beth Chatto Gardens is a 5 minute drive in Elmstead Market.
