Incredible views and exceptionally peaceful. Waterlears is a real gem situated in the heart of Devonshire countryside. We found the apartment to be tidy and comfortable. The directions were spot on, and we explored the local beaches. Hope Cove was so sweet, as was South Sands. We walked along the coastline and absolutely loved the local walks... just beautiful. Our stay was a real switch-off (literally) from the outside world. We didn't see any other people duting our stay. Peaceful, tranquil and much needed. It's just so lovely. Wildlife all around, and the gentle sounds reminded us how remote the apartment was. Switch off indeed. Very gorgeous!

Waterlears is nestled in the South Huish Valley, on a working arable farm, surrounded by rolling Devon hills, with panoramic views across patchwork fields towards South Milton Sands and beyond out to sea.

Hope Cove is just a 5-minute drive away and consists of two stunning sandy beaches. The water quality is designated as excellent, so the ideal location for children to splash around. The chocolate box seaside village has some lovely places for food including The Cove or The Hope & Anchor. • Salcombe is just a 5-10 minute drive away, a charming little town on the bank of what is often described as the prettiest harbour in England. Picture-perfect pastel-coloured houses make up a Positano-like scene overlooking water, sandy beaches, and rolling green hills of the surrounding countryside. Salcombe has a uniquely wonderful array of shops ranging from an acclaimed grocer, butcher and baker to art galleries selling serious contemporary works and chic boutiques. • Bantham is close too, just a 10-15 minute drive away. Nestling deep in the South Hams at the mouth of the River Avon is Bantham Beach. Beautiful scenery with panoramic views over Bigbury Bay and the famous Burgh Island, great for Agatha Christie fans to see. Great for surfing, and if you’re a beginner the Bantham Surfing Academy based there is perfect for lessons.
