Hadn't stayed in a hostel for a while, but the facilities were very decent in this one. Had a solo room, although without en-suite facilities. The Eastern European lady behind the front desk was fantastic, and couldn't do enough.

Located within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, YHA Hawes features free private parking, a garden and an on-site restaurant and bar. Overlooking the Wensleydale countryside, the hostel is just 7 minutes’ walk away from the Pennine Way National Trail. The hostel is positioned on the Dales Cycle Way and just 0.5 miles from Wensleydale Creamery and Dales Countryside Museum. The hostel is located in the small market town of Hawes, which has a regular market, as well as many shops, pubs and tearooms.
