This family-run Lake District accommodations has an indoor swimming pool, picturesque gardens and free parking. Free WiFi is available in the downstairs public areas and the bedrooms. We had a great afternoon tea when they offered an extra tea as we asked for an afternoon tea for one person. They gave us a bedroom upgrade because of our 15th wedding anniversary and left a lovely card in our room. The diner was really attractive and taste. We enjoyed the breakfast. The place was COVID safe, but I'd appreciate it more if they used the different rooms to keep people more distant.

Beautiful place ,scenery amazing , plenty of walks for all abilities, lots of places about to visit , we walked mainly but had a day out in car taking in views further afield , plenty of pubs and restaurants most were dog friendly,
Stunning place to be I’ve been a few times and the weather has always been good which is a bonus and restaurants and shops are just amazing 🤩 the people are so friendly I will be going again in August but with family this time but we’re staying at Bonas but will still visit Windermere for a day trip 🤗
Windermere is great place to visit with the family including your dog. Climbing, walking, sightseeing and just enjoying picturesque views of the hills and greenery this wonderful place has too offer. Nearby you can enjoy water sports and be taken on trips on the many boats offering services across the lakes to other parts of the Lake District. At the end of the day enjoy many of the bars and restaurants on offer to round off your day, as a good night sleep will be waiting after your busy day!
It was easy to get to from our B&B and we enjoyed walking around. It is a good central place for visiting attractions close by and futher afield. It was difficult to find anywhere to eat on the Sunday and Monday as many places were closed. There are plenty of local buses and a good service from the train station.
The general area of Lake Windermere is very attractive although the town of Windermere itself is quite busy, and not on the lakeshore. Ambleside is busy but with good restaurants and shops. Lots of walking routes in the area of Ambleside, some quite challenging, others flatter. Recommend taking the lake boats to see more.
Windermere is such a beautiful area. Really breathtaking, with its lakes & fells. Boat trips on the lakes are a must! There is an excellent bus service around the area, taking in all the local places of interest. The town itself has numerous exciting places to eat, whether you prefer Spanish, Italian , or a traditional English roast, & the local people are so friendly! ! One of our favourite restaurants was "Tapios" with a great selection of tapas & really nice decor.
Wonderful stay at Windermere Boutique Hotel. From check in to check out the staff were excellent and always on hand to help if needed. The suite was excellent- comfy bed, reclining seats in the TV room with sky TV, then the fab ensuite and extra room with spa bath and steam room. The hot tub outside was lovely as we made the most of the weather and had room service breakfast each day in our private courtyard area. Everything was lovely and we will definitely be back. Great location too as just 10 mins walk to the lake. Would highly recommend
Windermere
Evelyn is a fantastic host who has extensive local knowledge, you can tell by her positive attitude that she loves her job . The BnB is in a great location and is only a 10 minute walk to the town center. The off-street parking is safe and secure. The room was nice and tidy and the perfect size for 2 people. The bed was comfortable with fresh bedding. The breakfast was very filling and a great way to start the day. I look forward to staying at Dunvegan on my next visit to Windermere.
Windermere
We had room 3 on the ground floor. beds were very comfortable, good pillows too. Huge Bathroom which had a bath and a large shower. Large flat screen TV on the wall in the bedroom with all the channels. Staff worked extremely hard and they were under staffed, but everywhere was really clean. Location is in the centre of Windermere town and 2 mins drive to bowness Town and pier. Exceptional cooked breakfast, would definitely recommend this hotel.

Gail & Steve are very warm & welcoming. The breakfast is great, good quality ingredients and a lovely view over the garden while you eat. The room was clean and well maintained and it had a lovely spacious bathroom. Great location being a stone's throw from the centre of Bowness and a leisurely 20-25 minute walk straight down into the centre of Windermere. Would definitely stay here again if we revisit Bowness on Windermere.

The property is located perfectly for both Winderemere and Bowness on Windermere. We travelled by train and found there were good public transport links. The owners were very welcoming and offered tips for things to do, local walks and places to eat. The room itself was spacious, extremely clean and turned down daily. I have a healthy appetite and the breakfast was fantastic - kept you going for a late lunch!

cute little room #10, cozy, 2 twin beds made up as a king, windows on two sides that open, babbling brook outside, room was warm when need be during the cool April temps and cool with windows open. Heated bathroom floors were a wonderful perk. Very kind and very thoughtful hosts, anticipating every need. Fine breakfast made to order. Easy parking. Easy walk to Bowness or Windermere. Will definitely book again.
Great facilities, the hot tub overlooking Lake Windermere was a real bonus. Nice to have options for steam AND sauna. Pool was a pretty good size for the size and location of the hotel. Breakfast was pretty good (only had the continental). Room was comfortable, clean, and nice products in the bathroom. Great views from the communal areas of the lake.
Amazing house, so comfortable with modern decor and fantastic facilities that everyone could enjoy. Loved the snug room that gave the kids their own chill out space and the huge garden perfect for the dog. Close to both Bowness and Windermere, great location. The hot tub, sauna and huge televisions gave the perfect touch of luxury!

Windermere
I really like the location, just a few minutes walk from the train station, but very quiet environment. I also love English breakfast and cake of the day. But, I’m from Bangkok, Thailand which food is served in small potion. So, I felt sorry that I couldn’t finish the delicious breakfast. All staffs and Richard were friendly and helpful.
