Being very close to the border with Turkey, there is, unfortunately, TOO MUCH heavy truck traffic on the only highway along the beach. Be CAREFUL (walking) crossing the road to the beach! There are PLENTY of authentic Georgian restaurants serving great salads and cold beer!)))

Gonio is a perfect place for having rest of crazy work shifts. It is very easy to get Gonio. You can travel by bus or train, or airplane to Batumi and then by taxi ,only 10 minurs. IN Gonio you can enjoy with calm, beautiful atmosphere. Sea in Gonio is the best I have ever seen. Sea is calm, warm and clean. Beaches are clear and comfortable. The perfect thing is that in Gonio you can enjoy not only by sea views, but also with mountain views. People in Gonio are friendly. I stayed in comfortable hotel Roshe. It is the best hotel! There is a restaurant At the second floor with the great kitchen! All food was so delicious! I loved Gonio so much that I want to arrive again!

If nothing else other than owner response and help it is enough for me. Zouri, the owner of the property is a wonderful person, he helps in every way. The breakfast is awesome and meets the expectations. Everyone there is easy going and ready to help. You need a car to easily communicate in and out to the city center. It’s really hard to find anything to complain in this place, rooms are nice and cleaning was done every day. Beautiful garden and pool area is nicely decorated and perfect for relaxing. There is a small canteen serving customers by offering food and drinks for reasonable price. Owner of the hotel was welcoming and helpful with all the questions we had. Comfortable beds and enough towels (there are also slippers). The room rate included a good breakfast (from sausages and eggs to cottage cheese and jam). At the reception, you can buy water, which is convenient because the stores are quite far away. Special thanks to the hotel manager for his kindness and responsiveness.
