Acropolis is probably the most famous neighborhood in Athens owing to the presence of the magnificent ancient monument, crowned by the Parthenon and more recently the presence of the Acropolis Museum (here is our apartment). Quiet and well preserved, the neighborhood welcomes thousands of visitors every year and its features include poise and old world charm. Attractions abound in this neighborhood with the Acropolis itself in the first place. The Acropolis Museum is a must see when visiting Athens and visitors are always pleasantly surprised and awed by the beauty and harmony of the exhibits. Walking through Makrigianni street -where the apartment is-you will reach the main pedestrian street, Dionysiou Areopagitou, the ancient theatre of Dionysus is on your right and further on the Herodus Atticus theatre, where every summer concerts are held. The Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum, with its precious collections is also very interesting to visit.
