The location was amazing, right near everything you needed. The room was huge and comfortable. They did let us cancel the rest of our stay as the accommodations were unfit.
This family-run hotel is situated near the center of the ancient town of Bol on the island of Brač and offers you excellent facilities and affordable rates.

It was easy to check in (the family who own the delicious restaurant below checks you in and a woman walked us up to show us our room). We loved the HUGE balcony we had that overlooked the town and sea below and it was very quiet. It was easy to find parking on the street below. The room was huge and the AC worked really well. The location is about a 7 minute walk uphill/stairs from the town center below. It's a cute walk and very safe, but it was very hot when we were there, so take that into consideration. The town center below was very cute with MANY really good restaurants, wineries, cafes, and bars. There are many boat taxis and even small boats you can rent (which we did). We had a great stay.

We visited Bol during the summer as part of a longer trip to Croatia, we enjoyed it so much we decided to come vack for an extended weekend. We were a little worried that we had hyped it up in our memory but we needn't have .. it was exactly as we remembered! The vibe, the people, the location .. all perfect .. we'll be back ... AGAIN!

The island of Brac is a matter of our hearts.
The island of Brac is a matter of our hearts. We love its smell (the smell of the sea and the pine trees), its sounds (the singing of the cicadas and the music of the sea), the warm-hearted people who are always willing to help. We arrived by car from Split by ferry to Supetar and from there across the island to Bol, where we stayed in the town centre (we have stayed 4 times now at SD House Rooms, we go every year in July and August). From there we rode our bikes to Golden Horn beach every day. It's a gorgeous beach with clear beautiful sea which is different every day. The beach is kept clean every day, there are snack stands and bars with a great menu, good ice cream and good coffee, at affordable prices. By the beach there is a grove of tall pine trees (pines), which gives the possibility of shade and a pleasant cooling down. People bring hammocks to rest in. Nearby there is a bicycle rental, scooters. The harbour in Bol is charming and the promenade to Golden Horn beach is beautiful.

Bol is a really nice city, I only reserved here for the Zatni Rat beach and I was surprised by how beautifull the city was. The food was great, Bol beeing among the few places where food was always verry good. The Zatni Rat beach was really nice as well, although it's not a sandy beach as it is marketed, the view from here was really nice!
I think that the only downside was that it seemed to be verry expensive for what it was, would definetelly reccommed the experience to everyone, but I don't think I will ever come back since there are better options at cheaper prices out there (Mallorca beeing one of them).

Very quiet place and less tourists than Hvar.
Very quiet place and less tourists than Hvar. As many places too many people in the popular beaches but it is possible to find less crowded beaches in walking distance.
I did not like cash only spread at all places.

Beautiful Island.
Beautiful Island.
Despite travelling in early July, we didn't feel like it was overrun with tourists. There were day trippers from other islands/mainland but it didn't feel crowded.
We arrived by bus/ferry and hired a car on one day to see more of the island - Boomer Rental were great! You have to call them as they have no office but very friendly and dropped car at hotel. No hidden costs! (unlike RentalBrac)
We found a lovely little beach used by the locals. Great for kids.
Lovely little restaurants in the area.

Lovely and cozy town, hidden on an island.
Lovely and cozy town, hidden on an island. Good for slow and chilling vacations for families with kids. Definitely, not party/clubbing or active style of holidays. But a lot of outstanding restaurants with delicious food experiences.
Beautiful landscape, nature, and ocean. Quiet windy, good for active sports like windsurfing etc.
This was my first visit to Croatia and to Bol specifically. I am so glad we’ve stayed at VG! Even though for 2 nights, the hotel and more importantly hosts were above expectations! Nick and Helena made us feel at home. Every detail in this 15 rooms boutique hotel screams comfort and leisure ( mattress and bed linen were just right!) This is bed and breakfast only place, but neighbourhood is lovely with plenty of options to eat, drink and swim. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!
Incredible location in Bol old town close to the sea and harbour. Free and easy parking on the pier, 3 minutes walk away. Extremely comfortable apartment, with separate bathrooms for each bedroom. Impeccably clean and clearly held up to professional hospitality standards. Very easy key pickup with friendly and efficient apartment manager. We would love to come again when next visiting the Croatian islands!
Staff is amazing, no many Croatian speakers but still very friendly and always eager to help with any kind of information or assistance. Pool is big enough and with high safety standards. Zlatni Rat is very close like 15 minutes walk with a 4 yr old. Food is very very good. Various options with fish on a daily basis.
Lovely new, modern and spotlessly clean top floor apartment with amazing views. Friendly and helpful host who was quick to respond to any questions we had. Without a doubt our favourite stay from our tour of Croatia :)
- good location, next to the nicest beaches in Bol (zlatni rat is overrated!)
- almost everything you could need in the apartment
- very clean rooms and helpful staff
