I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The room was spotless, very clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The food was excellent—delicious and well-prepared—and the view from the hotel was simply stunning.

I really liked this hotel. The Tibetan art in the rooms was lovely. It is a non-smoking place and my room smelled fresh and clean. It is in a good location at the end of the busy road that leads to the crown center so it's quiet for the most part. If you have problems with arthritis the walk up the steep hill to get to Market Square might be challenging but the hotel can call a taxi. The view from my room was nice. I watched a troop of monkeys playing on the building across the street. It was fairly quiet but at night I would suggest ear plugs because the street dogs bark. The staff was friendly and very helpful. One of the staff saw I had difficulty with the stairs and told the owner. She offered an upgrade to a ground floor room and rearranged the guest incoming schedule to accommodate me.. I stayed for a week. The owner also provided currency exchange at a very good rate. I had an excellent stay.

    McLeod Ganj is such a beautiful place.

    McLeod Ganj is such a beautiful place. I don’t do alcohol or smoke anything but this place kept me high. For a week I stayed in Shalom backpackers it was a very good place and view from the hotel is beautiful (recommend). Checkout Morgan’s place, Tibet kitchen, Alt cafe and Queenies cafe in Norbulingka. You can rent a vehicle as soon as you get down from the bus(petrol bunk stop) Ramdeep Travels bike rental place. Sweet Punjabi guy will help you plan your trip. It’s difficult to find sensible people, most of them are junkies. Nature has its way of making you high you just have to explore with patience. This trip made me realise nature doesn’t really need humans but we humans need nature.

    McLeod Gunj is a Gem in the heart of Himachal.

    McLeod Gunj is a Gem in the heart of Himachal. Closest airport is Kangra which is about 45 mins drive and has direct daily flights from Delhi. Beautiful nature with snow capped mountains, trekking trails, mall road, temples and very calming and peaceful Dalai Lama Temple. The people of himachal have a long way to go in being hospitable for tourist. Also too many Hebrew speaking israelis who seem to believe this is their Tel aviv while speaking with local Indians. Hopefully the Indian government is looking into it before it gets too late..

    Best place to relax with family... Enjoy your vacation at foot hills of shivalik range. Visit Dharamshala, war Memorial garden Experience tea factory... And lots of shopping.... Also visit the holi place of Dr. Dali Lama monastery.

    Very interesting and quite different from other places we’d visited in India. Breathtaking scenery with the backdrop of the snow capped mountains. Good opportunity to try some yoga at the fabulous yoga studio at Yoga House. Fascinating to find out more about Tibetan culture.

    Loved staying at Yoga House. Room was clean, spacious, naturally lit and with the balcony. We loved sitting there, though our room didn't have full view with the rooftop of nearby building being a hindrance. But more than anything else I would love to mention staff, they are all awesome. They cook tastiest food, taking you dietary needs into consideration, they are attentive and caring. These people really made our stay special. Location is good, it is close to everything, but still quiet for McLeod Ganj standards

    I think words would be less to share the experience I had, trip to Dharamshala was quite random actually everything happened randomly and it turned out tone one of the best experience of life. This was my first time staying in hostel and it had totally turned my views on hostel culture. From now on will try to choose hostel over hotels. The staff was amazing always ready to help and friendly too. Didn't got chance to meet Ganesh bhai but vishal took care of us in very good way.
