Small, however extremely comfortable and cozy. Even though you are in the middle of nowhere with strangers around you it feels incredibly safe. Good place for northern lights as well 10/10.

The cottages were cute and in a great scenic location! Easy instructions and easy to find. It is like staying in a tiny home and they utilize the space well. Unique experience! Nice for one night before going around the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.

This very cosy cottage is located in a beautiful secluded spot (7km from #1) where, in winter, the chances to experience the wild dance of the northern lights are excellent and in the summertime you’ll experience the serene atmosphere of Icelandic nature as it vibrates with life. Come and enjoy the surroundings which include a beautiful valley with a creek trickling through it, smallest forrest on earth, beautiful old church and hiking paths or keep warm and cosy inside while you relax. In the cottage you’ll find a small kitchenette equipped with all essentials to make a simple meal. There is a fridge, two plate stove top, coffee maker, toaster and a kettle. Beds are made, linen is included. The cottage sleeps up to 4 adults. In the cottage is a bunk-bed that consists of 1 1/2 sized lower bed and a single sized top bed, and a sleeping sofa that can be folded out to double size. This cottage has a private bathroom and shower, towels and shower-soap are included.
For the cottage's closest surroundings, there is a very small forrest, a beautiful valley and an old church and cemetery which are well worth taking a walk for. While it is dark in Iceland you have excellent chances to experience the northern lights. Since the cottages are in a secluded spot, there aren't many street lamps which gives you the best view to the stars.
