My name is Alessandro, my wife and I renovated this old farmhouse just to share its history with our guests: sleeping in an ancient oil mill is a unique and extraordinary experience. You will be welcomed by Letizia who will tell you about the history of the place and give you useful information for your holiday. We are always available to arrange local cooking lessons, olive picking, walks, herb research days and much more!

Property info

Al Poderuzzo is a unique accommodation in Massa dei Sabbioni near Chianti, Arezzo, Montevarchi, Siena and Florence. The house was built in 1300 and restored this year with all the comforts for our guests, taking into account the history of the place. The house has an original stone mill and some furniture dates back to the 13th century. The wine press and the millstone that frames one of the rooms are amazing! The two flats of 80 square metres each, "Archi" and "Frantoio", can be rented separately or together as required. Each one has entrance and private garden, can accommodate from 2 to 10 people, has 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms with sofa bed, 2 kitchens, 4 bathrooms and a private garden and park. If you have a family of four you can only rent one apartment. The house is surrounded by olive trees and only a few minutes away from the forest: local markets and supermarkets in Cavriglia 3 km away 3 km from Cavriglia Park, 20 minutes from Chianti (Radda, Gaiole) a 20 minutes from the best Chianti winery (Volpaia, Castello d'Ama) Arezzo (48 minutes), Montevarchi (24 minutes), Figline (21 minutes) and Florence (1 hour) Siena (1 hour).

Neighborhood info

Near the farm there are many interesting things to explore, besides wonderful walks, a cross-country track, golf, lake fishing and much more. We also have 2 big pools 4 km away. We are at the border of Chianti area (chiantishire), near to Radda in Chianti, famous Winery like Castello d'Ama, Castello di Albola, but also very close to Arezzo, Cavriglia, Montevarchi and Figline Valdarno.
