Located in the center of San Gimignano, Hotel Bel Soggiorno offers large rooms and an on-site restaurant serving typical Tuscan dishes. The Chianti wine area is just 12 miles away. The beautiful tuscan view from the restaurant! The food at the restaurant, the best we had in all our trip to Italy. The staff very kind. The rooms very comfortable. The beds, the bathroom, the room. The location. Everything just perfect. I hope I could stayed more days in here. We parked the car in a public parking lot (San Gimignano P2, Via dei Fossi, 1, 53037) about a block away from the hotel, it was very cheap and easy to walk to the hotel with our bags.

Wonderful medieval town, just walk around and see all the cozies streets, is a real and calm experience. Have an espresso in a coffee or bar is the best or simply seat outside in a plaza. Beautiful place.
I love this small walled city. Lots of shops for regional foods, olive oils, wines, and ceramics. San Gimignano is a great base when exploring the Tuscany region. We were traveling with friends, but if it was just my husband and I we would have extended our stay just to relax and maybe sign up for a cooking class. There is a restaurant to the left and up the stairs just as your enter the city. I don't recall the name but it is quite small with only a few tables. The food was excellent and the owner and his sons were lovely. We tried to eat there a second time before we left; however, he was closed. Our only disappointment...
Two brothers found this town and their family were in a battle of who could build the largest towers. Only fourteen stand today but there use to be seventy-two. Go walk the streets run to the top and climb the highest point on the castle wall and breath deep, watch the sun set between the mountains and be thankful you have gotten the opportunity to step foot in this ancient city that even Attilda the Hun’s followers tried to capture this city but failed. History will come alive as you travel from one city to another and all those history books you read in school will no longer be just a pen and ink on paper.
Charming and quaint and full of history. Beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside. Delicious white wine, they are known for the Vernaccia grape. Chianti is amazing as well. Loved every second of our visit!
Friday was fantastic! Very few tourists. Saturday was a national holiday with a light show and tons of people. For us, in the future, we will avoid high tourist days. So easy walking around SG. Churches were awesome. Domo in particular. Dining was superb with amazing views! Having a cup of coffee on Piazza Cisterna and people watching in this beautiful city was a highlight.
We loved the place and added 2 extra nights to our stay. The village was great with so many things to see and do. The food was great. The countryside was amazing with all of the vineyards and olive farms. I could have stayed there for a week but we had other places to explore because it was out first trip to Italy. The place where we stayed B&B Palazzo Al Torrione was fantastic. Our host Vani was wonderful and the breakfast that she supplied was great. I would recommend this place in a minute. It was also right in the middle of everything. We could walk to everything. The downside,3 flights of stairs!!! It kept us in shape.

Mauro and his lovely family have taken care of us like we are from family. He does not speak English but he’ll do his best to understand and chat like you are an old friend. He has offered us wine, has served us a amazing breakfast, gave us directions about old city which is 5 minutes walk to hotel. Now we believe we have a home at San Gimignano. Hotel has an amazing San Gimignano view, big and cosy rooms and free, safe parking for your car or motorcycle. Recommend it strongly for everyone!

Cannot compliment this heaven on earth enough. The team that bring paradise to life each day really made the stay extra special. 4pm daily watermelon happy hour by the pool was a daily treat! The views of San Gimignano are phenomenal. Cannot flaw this place. The dinners were amazing! One night we chose to have a picnic among the olive trees during sunset. Definitely returning. It now holds a very special place in our hearts.

Puppies! The staff was very helpful, kind, and took care of all of our needs. We enjoyed the air conditioning, ice and fruit whenever we asked, and great dinner. The property is perfectly situated a few minutes drive from San Gimignano and a few minutes walk from a trail to hike to Castelvecchio (a favorite activity of the kids').

Lovely young lady in reception. Kind and welcoming. Apartment was well equiped. Cousy bed. Big bathroom. Excellent breakfast with fresh tomatoes, basil, scrambled eggs, apricots and peaches. And perfect Latte. We also had very good late night walk to the small walled medieval town San Gimignano, which is 1,9km away from hotel.

The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The food was great at the restaurant and also in the morning for breakfast. It was only a 5-10 minute drive to San Gimignano. Overall, we’re so happy we stayed here- we had actually left another place because it was dirty and outdated and then came here.

This hotel, with a breakfast restaurant and rooms with an amazing view, lies just a stone’s throw away from the main attractions of San Gimignano. But if, for some reason, you feel like getting away from this wonderful town, you can even go to a nearby hotel (~4km) for a relaxing day by the pool.

One of the reasons for travelling is to experience something that you don’t have back home (Canada) ; this is one of them, including the village of San Gimignano.

The property has a few buildings (all within a lovely walk to the main building). We had a lovely room in the previous monistary and the views from this place couldn't be beat! Breakfast was delicious and the dinner offered had amazing views with a lovely home cooked meal vibe. The wine made here is amazing!! This place was about a 5 min drive to Certaldo Alto and about 15 to San Gimignano.
