I came with a bicycle in the evening, the hosts were welcoming and I could put my bike to a safe place that was accessible during the stay so I could reach to my stuff in bags. Location is good for bicycling but it can get quite rainy in the autumn.

Company info

The farm’s main activities are Arab Horse breeding and fruit growing and vegetable gardening on their 10-hectare estate. The family has been involved in farming for many years the result being a meticulous attention to detail and a deep respect of Nature and its rhythms. This is also reflected in the choice of seasonal ingredients to ensure the freshness of the dishes they serve. The owners are happy to share their environment and way of life with their guests and do their very best to make them feel at home, both speak Italian, English, German and French and are ready to help and to give any information needed. Their considerable attention and enthusiasm for their job contribute to the pleasant atmosphere guests enjoy during a stay at their farm.

Property info

The delightful Fattoria Ca’ di Fatino estate is situated on the green hills of the Apennines half way between two of Italy’s the most important art centres, Florence and Bologna. A peaceful paradise amidst green valleys, forests and ridges is the setting of the Ca’ di Fatino farm whose historic main building dates back to the late 17th century and which has been tastefully refurbished only recently. Besides the guestrooms there are of course many other cosy spots in- and out-of- doors where our guests can relax and enjoy themselves, reading or simply sipping a glass of delicious regional wine. The charming rooms, offering comfortable accommodation for up to 14 guests, are equipped with all modern amenities; e.g. TV, free WI-FI, hair dryer, toiletries, etc. Ca’ di Fatino is an amazing place to enjoy Nature, Peace, Culture and excellent local food.

Neighborhood info

In the neighbourhood there are many fascinating places of interest within walking distance or easily reachable by bicycle, such as the Bocca di Rio€ shrine or the natural reserve of Parco dei due Laghi. Skilful horsemen/horsewomen can enjoy accompanied hacks in an unspoilt nature. Those who prefer a more easy-going experience can book an interesting carriage ride over rolling hills. In this borderland between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna there is a variety of possibilities for fantastic tours to wineries and places renowned for their proudly cherished culinary specialities. Also the designer fashion outlet in Barberino or the nearby Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati museums attract many visitors. Needless to say that Ca’di Fatino is the ideal starting point for visits to the countless treasures offered by the cultural heritage of both Florence and Bologna. And after a day full of splendid impressions in a vibrating city - Ca’ di Fatino is the ideal place to relax and to rewind.
