Breakfast needed improvement. Should have fresher products. Other areas of Sicily have more options. this is not a tourist town. We were there 2 nights to catch a ferry to Malta.

Pozzallo is the closest Sicilian port to the island of Malta. It is an obvious place to break one's journey from Malta by sea, by spending at least one night in Pozzallo and continuing on one's travels the next day (or days). Pozzallo is a good place to relax and enjoy the beaches (in summer) and long walks (in winter).

Pozzallo is great as a stepping stone, to rest a bit and move on. We've always found the locals to be very friendly, and the food good. The beaches are nice, and fantastic for the children, but apart from that there isn't much to do.

Pozzallo is a beautiful little beach town at the southern tip of Sicily. The beach water is clear and beautiful! Many people don't speak English there, so make sure to bring your translator app. I would also recommend a trip to the best gelato place in town, L'Artigianale. Large sitting /dining area with a beautiful seaview. Just opposite the villa is a beautiful beach and it is only 10 minutes by car to centre and only 45 minutes to nearby siracusa and noto. We were a family of 5 and it was all very comfortable. The host Sylvana is super friendly and makes you feel very welcome. Good Wifi connection. Also Giuseppe very helpful with suggestions.
