Discover our peaceful holiday home overlooking the spectacular valley in Groppo, a small medieval village in the lush Ligurian hills just 40 minutes by car from Levanto (Cinqueterre) or Sestri Levante. This painstakingly renovated villa offers ample accommodation for 8 people in four double-bed rooms (including three with a balcony or covered terrace), each with a great view and its' own bathroom. Enjoy the traditional Ligurian kitchen (yes, there is a dishwasher!), the large panoramic veranda, and vast terrace - perfect for relaxing. Groppo - thanks to its' altitude (450 m/sea) and mountain stream - offers a pleasant climate (-> no AC - but we do offer free wifi !), and its' location makes it the perfect base for biking, hiking (Mount Gottero), trips to the beach (Cinqueterre - 40 min) or to the pool (Sesta Godano - 10 min), as well as exploring not only Liguria but also northern Tuscany. Shops and restaurants 10 min away in Sesta Godano or 20 in Brugnato or Carro (Highway exits)
Hi! I'm an artist who moved to Italy more than 10 years ago; my French husband and I fell in love with Liguria and this house in particular; we renovated it with great care, and think you'll enjoy it as much as we do!
Groppo is located next to Mounts Gottero and Nicolao; it is minutes away from Magra-Vara Regional Park, and little more than half-an-hour from Cinqueterre or Sestri Levante, and as such is the perfect base for your holidays in Southern Liguria and Northern Tuscany ( La Spezia 40 minutes, Pietrasanta 50 minutes, Carrara 1 hour, Pisa or Lucca 1 hour 10 minutes). The number of fantastic restaurants in the area is also staggering!
