The place is absolutely amazing, very clean. Stephen, Ngala and Joseph are the best. They made us feel like we were home away from home despite it being a business trip.
The seafood meal chef Ngala prepared was better than any 5star restaurant we've dined at.
The breakfast by the pool was great as well.

Easy town to move around. Not that many pedestrian walkways. From my last visit(2023) there is an upgrade though.
Need for more coffee places.
The beach areas could be more cleaner.
For coffee and lovely delicious snacks,go to Malaika restaurant opposite the Buntwani Beach Front.
Walking is the healthiest way to move around Malindi, just don't give a visual contact with the boda boda taxis( you will ride unwillingly!)
Avoid the Tikka chicken with coloured(yellow) spicing.

The information on Booking.com about Malindi is an accurate representation of what I found on site. I visited the following places:
Galana Shopping Centre
Vasco da Gama Pillar
Portuguese Chapel
Malindi Marine National Park.
I occasionally ate out from a wide range of restaurants in the city centre. It was quite easy to move around Malindi and I currently have no experience of places to avoid while in Malindi.

Laid back lifestyle, great beaches, wonderful Italian pizzas. Vasco Da Gama pillar and Portuguese chapel are right there. Museums need updating. Not a huge amount to do in Malindi but if you want to get out and about, Hell's Kitchen in Marafa is worth visiting. It is a mini mini Grand Canyon. Karibuni villas in Mambrui is also nice - clearest sea water you ever saw.
Excellent well managed place! Alex, the manager, is going out of his way to make you feel comfortable. Food is very well cousined by Mr Jakson with staff. Spotless and clean place just a few minutes from a nice calm and clean beach where you can have lunch and relax under a palmtree during the hot mid-day hours.
Very beautiful garden and pool area. Fully recomend this place! We actually choosed to return for a few more days after moving to a different hotel in Watamu which was a great dissapointment. Peter from Sweden.
I like Malindi in general. But the fact that this is set within the same compound as Ocean Beach is the first big plus for me. I travelled alone but still got the group feeling by hanging by the pool area with other tourists. I had dinner on occasion in the hotel, which was quite convenient. Transport is there on demand. The town is literally 5 minutes away for AOBs. And the first floor setting gave me such a beautiful view of the compound. Great for solo and group travels.
We had a good stay at Sandies. The staff was super friendly and helpful,Brian by the pool bar gave exceptional service, always smiling and welcoming. We liked the buffet meals and nice cocktails.Had All inclusive and it was worth it.There was security on the beach which helped with hawkers.Super close to the Airport. Our PCR test for return to our country was arranged effortlessly by reception and the samples were taken in our room.
The white Elephant is more than just a place to stay, it’s an experience!
I stayed here for a few days after my safari and it was the perfect ending to an already amazing adventure.
The hotel is set amidst a tropical jungle and outdoor art gallery, and is right on the Indian Ocean.
Imagine having your meals right off the beach!
And the staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating.
Everything, the big space in the main room. Spacious and clean bathroom an adequate kitchen for at least making breakfast, we didn’t cook. The patio with the breeze and view of the sea and the proximity to our favourite beach restaurant in Malindi. This place is perfect and we will definitely be back.
An efficient and well managed hotel so you get good value for money. The rooms are spacious and breezy with big cupboards for storage, so you can enjoy your own space, without being disturbed by other guests. Many trees around and a natural setting surrounding the pool. The beach is very near too
The place is beyond words🥰❤We loved our stay, we stayed in house number 1 and it was amazing and clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and respectful.
The place is walking distance to the beach, Tuktuk to supermarket.
For sure everytime am in malindi am staying there.
Fondo and the cleaning lady were very helpful.
The fact that it is a beachfront it really was value for my money considering that is what I was looking for..waking up to the sound of the ocean waves was just priceless 😊😊
the excellent view, super gracious host, lovely location, private access to the beach which is a stone throw away. Great bed, many chill-out options. Fridge and microwave available. I will be raving about it to friends.
it has private swimming pool and close to the beach.
you better rent a motorbike taxi and go to eat downtown to Naivis supermarket, cost 100 KES one way. there is amazing choose of food and all the life there.
It was in near the beach, but the picture they show of the fence in the beach is from other hotel. The pool was clean. The bedrooms were clean. Even though the complete experience was a horror movie.
Good value for money with a nice, modest breakfast and comfortable beds.
A slight distance from the nicer beaches and restaurants but transport is readily available and cheap to move you around.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Malindi
Peaceful, Quit, privacy 100% indoor games, clean pool, affordable cooking deals , clean kitchen and proximity to beach and town Centre, jovial staff and of course I like parrots.
I've been to Malindi 4 times.
It was best hotel experience.
Staff are very kind and well trained.
I felt hospitality so much.
Hotel is just on beach.
Pool is very clean.
Great location for relaxing peace and quiet. Loved the pool . Close to beaches and not far from town centre if you want to explore. Felt very safe a solo traveller.
