The boat is very charming and original, highly recommended if you wish to have a less conventional experience. The staff was very welcoming and kind. Great position, on the opposite side of the Central Station, easy to reach with a free ferry, and close to NDSM. I would definitely come back

it was a wonderful and unique experience staying on the Kapitein Anna. The boat is full of history, and is meticulously looked after. The location is really good, and views from the top deck over the Ij are stunning.

The boat is super nice and iconic. It was so easy to move around Amsterdam, the ferry that goes to the central station is just a short walk from the hotel. We didn't know about the ferry ahead of time, so when we arrived we took a cab from the Central Station to the hotel, which took about 30 mins. But during the check-in, we were told about the ferry. Breakfast was yummy, with a choice of freshly made omelet, scrambled or fried eggs in addition to fresh juice, croissant, and other pastries. Oh, and free coffee 24hs/day. Staying there again next time.

Absolutely fantastic little boat - right in the NDSM area just a free ferry away from Central Station. The boat owner (apologies for not getting her name) was wonderfully accommodating, letting us leave our luggage before we could check in and even holding it after we checked out. Breakfast was lovely continental with bacon scrambled eggs on offer. The twin rooms were nice and roomy considering, fitting me at 5ft 11 and my over 6ft friend perfectly in bed. Overall, would be more than happy to stay here again

Great location (the parking are just 5min from the boat, the price approx 8-9€/per day), the free terry to city center 3min walk from the boat, you can rich the central Amsterdam station in 10 min At Kaptain Anna you can find accommodation at the historical boat with all facilities (free WIFI includ). Very friendly owner. Many thanks for " Kaptain Anna "for amazing time.

Sleeping on a boat was our first time and what an experience that was ! Captain Anna deserves the good appreciation it has on booking.com The place has a history and you can feel that. Sitting at these nice mahogany tables is like being transported to a different era. We also slept wonderfully well in that little cabin, immersed in water. It gaves us a sensation of being so relaxed. The owner is kind and helpful and the boat is very well located, right across Railway Central station which you can reach using the free ferry close by Captain Anna.
