Just 5 minutes’ walk from Tairua Harbor and its restaurants and shops, Harbourview Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi and free kayaking equipment. Guests enjoy free breakfast, access to BBQ facilities and a shared lounge with a TV and a DVD player. The 3 ground floor guest bedrooms all have private bathrooms, beach towels and bathrobes. The shared guest lounge opens onto the swimming pool area and a tropical garden setting. Harbourview Lodge Tairua is 5 minutes’ walk from Tairua village, with its many restaurants, shops, and cafes. Mount Paku is 3.1 mi away and Hot Water Beach is a 20-minute drive. Awake to continental or cooked breakfast each morning. Home baked good are available.

Harbour View is aptly named! from our two main decks there are great views across the harbour to Mount Paku on the other side. The tide is continually coming in and out, so in a few minutes the view will change from glassy sea to golden sands - and back again. The light changes constantly too, from orange sunsets to dusky blue evenings. The exotic garden and pool area catch the sun all day long, and the view from the breakfast lounge is amazing - and so too are the breakfasts. with a lounge and outdoor bbq, guests are welcome to bring their food home with them
New owners Jane and Chris moved into Harbour View on October 21st. Although we are from different backgrounds, owning a kiwi B&B has been a long-held dream for both of us. Jane is from Auckland, her family arrived on the first settlers’ boats in 1842, and she is a university academic, still commuting each week to Auckland (while we try to pay the mortgage!). Chris has been a hotelier, destination manager and tour operator, recently worked for Maui/Britz motorhomes, and also has a small tourism copy writing and editing business. We have stayed and toured all over the Coromandel for many years and look forward to sharing this beautiful part of the world with our guests
This is a great base for exploring the whole of the Coromandel. The world-famous Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove are nearby, the Pacific Ocean is across our harbour. Great walks, fascinating history, beautiful wildlife, markets, coastal towns and the Coromandel Pinnacles are all nearby. The harbour teems with birdlife, from colourful kingfisher to world-record migratory Godwits. There are local fishing trips, chances to sail, golf courses everywhere, cycle parhers, walking trails and great local food.
