Absolutely everything. Hosts were super friendly. We had our requirements that were fulfilled with smiling faces. They are very accommodating and has done everything to make our stay the best experience for us. We also asked them if we can have the lifetime membership - it was that great. Our vocabulary is not enough to express our joy and how great was our stay. Must visit. Highly recommended..we will visit again and again

Welcomed by lovely hosts. Very helpful and the rooms was extremely clean and tidy. Very comfortable stay
Didnt know which cafe to choose, but this one had a lot of people in it, so we chose this one.Hot chocolate cafe. The big breakfast and the pancakes were delicious. Quaint, busy little township, just caught the tail end of the market. We stumbled on another cafe further up, which sold this devine louise cake & caramel wheaty slice. Yummy. I thoroughly enjoyed the Nakontong Thai restaurant for dinner too.
Shared bathroom and toilet wasn't good. Luckily for me there was only one other guest a female but that was awkward as we both wanted to shower at the same time. Lucky for both of us there were not 3 couples staying at the same time.
The Coastal walkway is a good walk. Old town worth a visit. Lots of good places to eat in town and some good shops and cafes. Lots of walks up the Kauaeranga river Valley in the Cormandel Forest Park. Good base for surrounding areas, we did full circuit of Carmandel from here. Also enjoyed Gold mines tour at Waihi and walks on the Whatawheta river gorge
The Thames Goldmine Experience was awesome. It is run by volunteers that are passionate about keeping the history alive. We've been to several mine attractions, but this is the only one that has original equipment that actually runs for demonstration.
The hospitality was so lovely, Maybe if the booking system changes the office and customers will be much happier. I believe that I had booked a flat but on arrival, we ended up with cabin 7 it was so small, we had no hot plate and no bowls, I know for a fact that I would have never booked anything with only bunks as my sister and I would never feel comfortable sleeping on bunks and I would have never expected my 5-month pregnant niece to climb up and down bunks, however, we did get to stay in flat 4 for our last day and night and it was so lovely something we would have expected from the beginning, having been able to have flat 4 for the last day and night made up for everything that went wrong, once again we would love to thank you for your beautiful hospitality we are looking forward to our next break there which will be in flat 4 26th - 29th of January 2024 Auckland Anniversary and yes we most definitely will recommend your holiday park to friends and families.
Large township for NZ at the foot of the Coramandel peninsula. Historically an area of extensive mining especially for gold - all long gone but the Thames School of Mines in the hands of NZ Heritage and the Gold Mining Experience site reflect the past and well worth a visit. A good place for a short visit and overnight stay, to stock up with provisions or as a base to set off north into the Coramandel
Thames
Quiet neighborhood and only five single-level units so not a busy property. Easy walk to main street shopping (4 Square market and cafes). You could even walk to Pak N Save depending on how much you are willing to carry back. Cooking facilities were sufficient (which is good because dining options in Thames are limited). Wifi was fast, bed was comfortable. Each unit has a tiny back deck with furniture; lovely sound of the brook flowing past. I don’t know about laundry facilities but there was a drying line.
Thames
The cottage was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The personal touches definitely made it a home from home. The breakfast provisions were perfect as I hadn't remembered this would be provided from when I made the booking. I couldn't fault the cottage and Linda's communication was excellent. I would strongly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay in Thames and visit the Coromandel. Thank you!

WOW !! This is the place to stay if you're in need of some lovely relaxing downtime. The view from our deck was amazing. The room was lovely & clean. The bed was so comfy. Only a quick drive to get to Thames but it felt like you were far away from the hustle n bustle. Alby is so friendly & welcoming. Would highly recommend this place. We'll be back for sure !! Have found our new hideaway :-)
Thames
An unexpected find close to the beachfront, the host was welcoming and shared some great stories about the conversation of the historic hotel into a B&B. Comfy beds, very clean facilities, located just a short distance from excellent restaurants. A full cooked breakfast kept us going until dinner. Superb value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fantail Hill. The hosts were very accommodating and even let us check-in earlier. They also let us use their barbecue. What we liked best was the view from the rooms and the terrace and also the fact that everything was really clean. It was the perfect place to start our New Zealand trip.

It was a lovely stay. Really nice room, bathroom, hot pool, breakfast, milk juice - everything. the top of the cake was the welcome airplane cookies and airplane gummies. If we ever come back to New Zealand, we will definitely come by again
The family is a bit picky in hotels and motels. But we booked last minute and these are the only hotels left in the area. Happy to report we were quite happy with the place ❤️
