Very welcoming place. I wish we could stay and enjoy it for little bit more than one night. I appreciate owner going above and beyond to make sure all guests are happy. Sadly we had a short stay, as we were going to Napier that evening for a concert, so this was our half way point which was really the only one we could find at short notice. Boy, it was gorgeous here; the room and bathroom far exceeded our comfort and cleanliness expectations, the detail the owners have put into the presentation of their accomodation and their welcome was exceptional. We highly recommend that guests stay longer and enjoy the Kinloch area, Taupo is really only a twenty minute drive for meals and a range of entertainment, but definitely stay here where you can enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the peaceful Kinloch landscape.

The room was very clean/comfortable with amazing sunset views of the lake. Sitting outside with a cup of coffee taking in the view was very peaceful - although it was one night, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly!

Everything! Julie and Charles are friendly and welcoming hosts who took time to chat with us and make suggestions about walks in the area. The accommodation is beautiful and absolutely spotlessly clean. We watched a glorious sunset over Lake Taupo from their front terrace. We ate our breakfasts on the rear terrace (outside our room) but could have used the guest conservatory had we wanted to do so. We only booked this accommodation when we had to change our itinerary due to Cyclone Gabrielle making it impossible to go to Gisborne. It was a very happy choice. Thank you, Julie and Charles.

It was more beautiful than I expected. The views were absolutely breathtaking and the room was spacious and very private. I liked how clean it was too, and the shower had very nice products in there for guests to use. The owner was very friendly and she gave us a map of the town and surrounding area with suggestions on what to see and places to eat. Breakfast was lovely, all home made bread and home grown fruit, she even made the marmalade herself and it was delicious. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay, it exceeded our expectations and we would gladly recommend!

Beautiful room and views. The room was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our one night. Host was super friendly and informative, Julie even considered that we were travelling further south and advised us which would be the best route to take given there was a festival in Taupo over the weekend. Very quiet place to stay (although some internal noise from other guests using the bathroom, which did not bother us)

Fabulous breakfast, home made bread and jams, especially the marmalade. Julie sent us home with a jar. The hosts, Julie and Charles made us so welcome and we spent a lovely evening in their company, also not forgetting Molly their adorable spaniel. We will remember this stay forever.
