You will have half of the top floor of our large Thorndon Villa for your personal use (not shared). Your own large bedroom, a separate lounge with sofa, smart TV and work desk, and your own bathroom with bath and shower. (Now have ultrafast Broadband up to 1Gb download speed) Note: Most guests do not have to pay for on street parking, but in some circumstances, charges may apply (e.g. if you need to park for a full day then we can sell you the required council parking voucher).
I arrived in Wellington over 40 years ago to attend the local university and am still here. I am married with three grown up children and we have a bit more room in our house now and are making half of the top floor of our house available for you to stay. I have my own Information/technology business that I run mainly from home so am usually around in the other half of the house. We can also provide you with helpful advice about what to do and where to go in Wellington, so that you get the best out of your stay.
Thorndon is New Zealand's oldest suburb. We are walking distance from the Thorndon village, the city, the Parliamentary precinct, the Sky Stadium and the railway station. The ferry terminal is a 10 minute Uber ride away. There is limited parking during the day, but you can park on the street overnight. Council coupon parking operates during the day and we can provide coupons per day that will enable you to park all day close to our property. Bus stops are close by. Given we are close by the city, an Uber or Taxi trip into the city is low cost. There are also plenty of electric scooters close by as anther option to get around.
