This hotel is authentic, our triple room had flair and was overlooking the yard. The couple taking care of us was very warm and accommodating, especially with the meals, as it was one vegetarian person in the family.
We stood 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The food was every day different and plenty. The price for the meals is different, it depends if it is vegetarian, it contains cheese, or fish or meat.
Lake Titicaca is a flight of stairs away an there is a nice beach and clear water to take a dip (water temperature 10-12 degree).
There are nice walks on the hills nearby to viewpoints and small ruins.

It’s such a tranquil stay with crystal Titcaca water few meters away and beautiful mountain at the background. It’s also a unique experience of local’s life. Guido is a thoughtful and genuine host. Sarah cooks amazing meals. The kids are lovely! At the garden there are fresh veggies and farm there’s even an alpaca! Just mind that you need to be an hour on taxi from Puno to get there but it’s worth it. Also, if you suffer from altitude sickness, maybe tell them to cook less fried food. The fried dough in the morning are delicious, but also the boiled veggies and quinoa soups!

The hosts were friendly and provided a good home feeling to all guests. The food was also some of the best I had while traveling in puno (it was very healthy and delicious). Lastly, they went out of their way and helped me when I had lost something... overall, very happy to have stayed here!

Llachon is a smaller village on the half-island of Capachica. There is a mirador which can be reached by walking in approx. 45 minutes ... depending how fit you are and if you are already familiar with the altitude :-)

Llachon is a great way to experience Lake Titicaca without having to stay in busy Puno. It is a quiet little traditional town, without much in the way of restaurants or stores. There are lots of walking trails/paths and access to the lake/small beaches, tours still operate to some of the floating islands. The food was all home cooked and grown and it was amazing. Farm animals wander the streets and paths and the locals are very friendly and warm. It was a great break from all the touristy spots and bigger cities we had visited before. Loved our time there.
