This place is truly special and you can tell that Emmanuel, our host, really thought of the details for his guests. The kitchen was well equipped and some treats were waiting for us when we arrived. During our stay, we felt completely immersed in nature, with a view of the mountains and the ocean from our room - we also enjoyed hanging out with the animals on the property! It’s the perfect place if you want to completely relax and get away from city life, yet it’s also a short distance away from everything you might need - a supermarket is a 20min walk/3 min drive away, an excellent rum bar is a 2 min walk away, and you can reach the beach or the lovely Jardim do Mar area in minutes driving.

The courtyard is a beautiful garden which reminds me of Costa Rica. The house is very private, with a beautiful view from the terrace. We loved the cat and geese companionship in the garden. The hosts were wonderful, they could not be more kind.

Wonderful location in a wonderful subtropical garden with amazing sea view. We stayed in Bonita, a lovely house, perfectly equipped with great taste. Very individual and very relaxing. Emmanuel, our host is very friendly, easy going and helpful. He offered us fruits from his garden and fresh eggs from his neighbor and it was always great to have a chat with him. Estreito do Calheita is nicely located, easy to get to the hiking areas of Rabacal and the llevadas there (25 sources, Risco waterfall), we also liked the bar Pukiki, just a 4 min walk from our house.

we were met by arrival and had a smooth check in, thanks for that. Also, the host provided some good tips on local attractions and good info about the stuff around. the chalet has all you need, the bed is comfy and has a really big blanket. The chalet has a great terrace overlooking the sea, we had amazing breakfasts there with sun and awesome view. there is also a washing machine and a dryer, very handy

Fantastic garden, relaxing jacuzzi and warm welcoming from Emmanuel. We stayed in Romantica, it was clean, nicely decorated with fully equipped kitchen and super comfy bed. Parking situation was really good. Couldn’t imagine anything better for our first time in Madeira! It was perfect and we are so happy that we stayed in Casas Serenas.

The host, Emmanuel, was very helpful and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The property we stayed in was decorated with rustic modern touches which added to the beach/island theme. The beds were comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water for a shower. We made good use of the jacuzzi and sunbeds while enjoying the beautiful landscaped gardens and fruit from the tangerine tree. Thanks again Emmanuel - we hope to visit again soon!

Nice quiet location, outside the busy Funchal area. Nice view and comfortabele casa. Own kitchenette and fridge is handy. Beds could have been a bit bigger. For >1.80 people to short. Good pillows.
