Rua da constituição connects to Marquês de Pombal square, which includes a romantic and emblematic garden that is well known in the city of Porto. Although there are no flowers, there are plenty of trees, shrubs and grass. It's a busy place frequented by people of all ages. There are several park benches and a bandstand on the opposite side where it's normal to see concentrations of elderly men playing cards, with many more watching. In the center there is a fountain with running water, giving this place an extra attraction. There is a lot of road traffic in the area, a metro station, cafés, restaurants, a variety of local shops and the well-known Church of Senhora da Conceição. There is public transport such as buses, taxis/private transport and the metro. These include the "Marquês" metro station. The metro station is 350 m from the accommodation. It connects to several major metro stations such as "Aliados", "São Bento" and "Trindade". The "Trindade" metro station has a direct connection to the airport and the "São Bento" metro station has a connection to the "São Bento" train station.
