Property information

Centenary traditional building with Portuguese tiles, near the Lapa Church, right in the heart of Porto. It was completely renovated in 2016, respecting the original features and its history. It has an unusual layout and modern furniture, providing comfort for our guests. The property includes 7 modern furnished and fully equipped apartments. Guests have access to all the amenities of the apartment and a shared outdoor space where our guests can sit and relax while enjoying the sunshine after their Porto experience. With a local supermarket just across the street, bakeries, restaurants, shops and cafes can be found within walking distance. Located 20 minutes' walk from Aliados Avenue and Clérigos Tower, 25 minutes from City Market Bolhao and 5 minutes from Faria Guimarães Metro Station.

Neighbourhood information

The neighborhood of Lapa is charming and ideal for those looking to stay overnight or live very close to the historical city center but in a quiet place near the authentic side of Porto. In the center, near the metro station, at only 15 minutes walk from downtown but far from the prices, crowds and nocturnal confusion of the “movida” from downtown Porto, there are still some old ladies who go to church, the young, anxious and smiling or the grandfathers with their berets in the local cafes. Its most important era began with the construction of the Church of Lapa. Rococo and neoclassical building, the Church of Our Lady of Lapa began to be built in 1756 and finished in 1863. Inside the church, the pipe organ is one of its most impressive pieces, but one of the main attractions of the church is the heart of King Pedro IV, who, since 1837, has been inside an altar. During the liberal wars, D. Pedro IV entered the city of Oporto through the street of Cedofeita, where also it lived. After his death, his heart was donated to the city, and his daughter chose the church of Lapa to house it.
