Apartments and Chalets Markez, private house for up to 12 persons in 5 bedrooms, spacious, bright and well equipped, surrounded by a large garden. Near the river, 2km from Bohinj lake. Other apartments on site.
I have been living here for all my life, Bohinj is in my heart, probably forever, as the place that can't be compared to anything. Life connected with nature and it's chalanges, teaches me about what is in conflict with the common sense and how to gratefully accept this moment. Me and my children live on the same property with 3 houses which I rent out. It's more like a home than a business (I hope). We will probably meet at arrival and I can help you during your stay if you wish. But I'm not always present as I work elswhere also.
Beautiful village with hills all around. Gives a great opportunity for walks from the house, swimming in the river is also great when the temperatures are high enough. There's a nice restaurant in the village and my dear neighbour who owns an eco farm. She produces the best of dairy products in the area. Entrance to cycling road 300m from the house. The area of Bohinj is most of the year best accessible by car, so it is advised. Free on site parking. In the buisiest months (July, August) public transfer is also very frequent, most of the sights can be reached easily from our house. Bus stop (called Polje near Bohinjska Bistrica) is 50m from the apartments. Lake (2km) can also be reached by bike or by foot - entrance to the cycling road 300m from the house. Parking around Bohinj lake is payable, our guests can purchase a discount card which offers free parking. Direct bus or train lines from Ljubljana to Bohinj can also be used.
