The hotel for whom this building was constructed a decade ago no longer operates it. It appears to have been built originally with a coffee shop, restaurant, and workout area. Current management eliminated these public spaces, though it probably knows guests want them.

The location of the hotel is very convenient because it is close to the subway station and there are very cafes and restaurants around. My work was in Taipei National University of the Arts so it was an extra convenient location for me.

Location Location Location, that is the USP of this hotel. It is right at the MRT in Tansui and this is the most central location to explore the Tansui area and nearby Beitou and other areas. We took the sea view rooms which were very smart but disappointingly small. Make sure you keep the aircon circulation at full blast even if it means wearing extra clothing layers, as the circulation and ventilation is a bit suspect. The view was also disappointing, as there is an obstruction to the view from the 7th floor on which the hotel is located. The hotel is on the 7th floor of a mall which has excellent food options. We ate at the excellent Thai and Chinese restaurants in the mall and would also recommend the Vietnamese Pho restaurant next to Starbucks across the road. If location is important to you look no further. However size of the room and view leave a lot to be desired.
