The beach is not great. Go to Paje or Kendwa instead.
The beach is not great. Go to Paje or Kendwa instead. I had been to Zanzibar before and the low tides and clear, beautiful water were what attracted me back. It was nothing like I had experienced before. Could be due to climate change. Many other places on the island that offer better quality beaches. Jambiani is also really sleepy so not much to do besides staying on the property and walking along the quiet beach with hawkers trying to sell you safaris.

I personally wouldn't stay again because I did 3 weeks straight there, so I would love to stay in another part of Zanzibar but I would recommend Cinnamon hotel to all as overall I enjoyed my time and it was a comfortable stay in Jambiani.

If you like large good value for money hotels and you are...
If you like large good value for money hotels and you are looking for all inclusive then this is for you. I opted for this hotel for the safari option and for that reason it was well worth it. Book local hire taxis and next time I would stay at a smaller hotel not catering for the masses, but that’s my fault for not researching it more. Although it is far from the airport, being on the south side of the Island, this hotel is located very conveniently. There is a turtle cave, a swimming cave and dolphin viewing within 15 minutes drive from the hotel.
