Wildwood by the Lake is located in Mauston, just 28 miles from Wilderness Resort and 25 miles from H. H. Bennett Studio.

House itself was really cute and very comfortable, great beds, cute kitchenware, liked having the land around the property (never saw anyone during our stay but firewood is sold right across from the house).

    This place nearby a wildlife refuge, it's a good place for wildlife observation. But it's too lonesome, very hard to call Uber/Lyft, no signal for nonlocal phone. It's batter to drive cars on our own. If we not able to drive, I don't recommend travel to this region.

    We like the area very much.

    We like the area very much. Several of us went for walks in the neighborhood and nearby county roads. Others went to retrieve supplies or menu items which were close. We did not eat out. Easy to get to. Our place was very family-oriented. The place next to us was also having a family reunion.
