This is a quite place with a bed and a shower.. as long as that is all you want--it's good enough. It's not the worst place I have ever stayed---it certainly was not the best either. The price was fair for what I got. The staff is friendly and helpful--oh--by the way--they leave at 10 pm... but there is a phone ( intercom ) next to the office door if you need help after hours. It's minutes from the airport. There is food and fuel very close to the facility. Wal-mart is a 10 minute ride. Tempe is actually a part of Phonex.

Liked Mill Avenue especially the Pedal Haus. That was a great place to eat and to drink. Bars don't open until 4:00 pm which is when you can check into your hotel. Go to the Pedal Haus they will take care of you.

Tempe is our homebase when we visit our friends.
Tempe is our homebase when we visit our friends. Along Rural Rd. there is Arizona State University and offers a youthful vibe. Also, there are plenty of restaurants, grocery and convenience shops for anything we want. Uber rides are inexpensive for getting almost anywhere of interest in the Phoenix area.

Very close to all Pheonix has to offer and quieter. Loved it! Thew Tempe lake was beautiful and I got to go to the Grand Cayon and Sedona. Only going to Tempe/Mesa for medical.
Only going to Tempe/Mesa for medical. Wouldn’t choose to go there otherwise. I’m not a tourist, I live in Az but about 160 miles from the facility I’m going to. Thus going the night before an appointment is imperative. But I’ll be avoiding the extended stay suites on future visits.

The motel canceled my reservation because they overbooked but they couldn't cancel the good time that we had in Tempe. Thank goodness for the above and beyond efforts of the Studio 6 staff to accommodate us on short notice and the Chiefs topped it off by winning the Super Bowl. I recommend having some beers at Boulders On Broadway. Great food casual setting and beers from around the world on draft.TimUnited States of America

Sonesta Simply Suites Phoenix Tempe was able to accommodate a [surprise-to-us] guest when a military family member was able to take some leave and join us for the celebrations. The hotel changed our room, so we could all be together. The hotel also provided a lot of services, including free use of the washers and dryers, kitchenette, and availability of a small store with "relatively inexpensive" items. We took advantage of the outdoor grill and had a cookout one afternoon.
