Pristina isn't yet a huge tourist destination but is a lively and friendly city. There aren't a great many "sights" in the city itself, but it's somewhere you go for the atmosphere above all. There are some great places to eat and drink - although it's worth looking around and going to where the Kosovans go! Prishtina completely surprised me in the best way possible! As the capital of Kosovo, it offers a unique mix of history, culture, and vibrant modern life. The city has a special energy youthful, dynamic, and full of character. Walking through the streets, you'll find a blend of old Ottoman influences, modern architecture, street art, cozy cafés, and friendly locals everywhere you go. The people are incredibly welcoming and proud of their heritage. Some highlights include the iconic Newborn Monument, the impressive National Library, the historic Mother Teresa Cathedral, and the bustling Germia Park. The nightlife is also fantastic full of music, food, and atmosphere. Prishtina may be small, but it leaves a big impression. Affordable, authentic, and full of heart it's a city you'll want to come back to. First and foremost, the most important thing is that the people are very friendly, helpful, and warm-hearted. You can easily communicate with everyone. The city's restaurants are truly high quality and quite affordable. As for transportation, it's very convenient if you plan ahead. Bus 1A departs every two hours from the bus-stop just outside the terminal, slightly to the left. If your flight doesn’t align with this schedule, unfortunately, you’ll have to wait for the next departure. However, while waiting, some locals may approach and offer to take around 4 people to the city center for a negotiated price between €15–€20. Buses go everywhere in the city .
