The Bantry Bay Aparthotel by Totalstay, hotel in Cape Town

Situated between the V&A Waterfront and Camps Bay, The Bantry Bay Aparthotel by Totalstay offers self-catering suites with air conditioning.

Situated at the top of Regent street with easy walking distance to many restaurants and the promenade. Room was big with a small fridge, microwave and a kettle. However, although I requested a quiet room I was given a room overlooking Regent street which was noisy. We had breakfast at the hotel once which included everything you would want.

Old Bank Hotel - Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges, hotel in Cape Town

Attractively located in Cape Town, Old Bank Hotel - Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges features air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a restaurant.

Where do I start? The Old Bank Hotel offers exceptional value for money. The location is central. From the historical features to the amazingly large suites, from the fantastic food to the high comfort level, I would recommend you stay here without reservations. The most outstanding element of our stay was the authentic warmth and high standards of service from all staff. My travel mates had never travelled before and were knocked out by the care and attention to detail of the staff, especially concierge Sebastian. Nothing was too much trouble, and our comfort and security were made priorities. In my many decades of travelling this was the most all- round positive hotel experience! Can’t wait to return.

Boasting a fitness centre, a restaurant as well as a bar, Old Foundry Hotel is set in the centre of Cape Town, 2.1 km from Mouille Point Beach.

Beautifully done with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfasts was great and service excellent. We had a day without water due to the City of CT working on the road. I know there was nothing the staff could do to alleviate the problem. They gifted me with a fabulous 60 min massage and also a bottle of wine in my room to compensate for the inconvenience. It was greatly appreciated.

FAQs about hotels in Cape Town

Cool, Colourful Cape

Between mountains and beaches, the 2nd largest city in South Africa mixes history, resilient modernity, and a typical laidback African character. From the top of Table Mountain to the colourful Bo Kaap quarter, and from the Victoria & Albert Waterfront to the modern business district, Cape Town blends multicultural influences and beautiful nature.

Known as Kaapstad in Afrikaans, its sunny weather and mild temperatures make it a perfect place to enjoy the large number of beaches that surround it. From Sunset Beach to Hout Bay, and from Simon’s Town to Gordon Bay, this city offers a variety that suits all tastes. Whale and dolphin watching is a popular activity in False Bay.

Located on the Cape of Good Hope, the city was founded in 1652 by a Dutch trading company as a way-station for ships travelling to the East Indies. With the settling process, all sorts of foreign plants were introduced, including the grapes in the famous Cape Winelands District, just outside Cape Town.

Cape Town’s history does have some darker periods, and some of its memorable places from this time deserve to be visited: Robben Island jail, the City Hall from which Nelson Mandela gave his first public speech, and the statues of the 4 South African Nobel Peace Prize winners on the V&A Waterfront.

Cape Town is a city of contrasts, where the natural and the man-made blend together in a mesmerizing symphony of beauty and sophistication. Cape Town is such a beautiful and vibrant city!

Cape Town is such a beautiful and vibrant city! Everyone we have met was super welcoming and friendly. However as the apartheid ended roughly 30 years ago you can still see and feel a lot of it’s remains. As much as it’s a beautiful city with beautiful people there are very big contrasts between the lush life in the city and the town ships around it…

The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained, very clean and staff is very helpful. We had dinner buffet and it was really worth it. The managers was very friendly and helpful. Each staff member was friendly and not once was I disappointed. I am a very fussy person but I had no complains this weekend. Really good job to the staff of The Capetonian. It's a budget hotel but it had a diverse clientele which was nice. I was expecting everyone staying there to be white tourists (they seem to be everywhere in Cape Town) so it was great to come down to breakfast and see black Africans seated, the women in very colourful dresses. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. They even do a very reasonably priced laundry service. The area was quiet and just two minutes from the famous sea front at Sea Point. I spent two weeks in the hotel and didn't regret it for a minute.

Modern hotel with loads of character, spacious rooms, in a good location between the waterfront and the CBD. Breakfasts were a highlight, as was the personable nature of the staff. We loved the quirky nature of the books, shelves and old furniture, right down to the talking book in one part of the path to the rooms. The beds are really comfortable and the bathrooms large with great showers. Really handy having on site parking. Recommend Bellagio in the same complex for a meal, or two!

The location was very convenient - right in the heart of City Bowl and walking distance to the waterfront. The hotel is really cute and funky. The rooms were clean and comfortable and functional but pretty sparse. This is not luxury hotel! However, the very cool rooftop bar/patio made up for it. It has a great vibe. The restaurant downstairs was really good and the staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay there again for sure. It's a little gem.
