Nothing.. The basic necessities in the room was not available. The safe dd not work and when I asked for assistance I was pressure to say why I needed the safe and what valuables I had. I asked for a room with a working safe and denied. Moved my valuables to the boot of my car and stressed the evening and my whole experience was ruined at this Hotel. Don’t go to this Hotel.

This multi-coloured and complex African metropolis is the biggest city in South Africa and probably the living example of its much debated history. Johannesburg is not the capital of the country, but it represents its main economic hub, and is also the seat of the Constitutional Court.
Popularly known as Jo’burg, the city is constantly under renovation in all areas, allowing it to slowly but decidedly overcome its ‘Apartheid’ legacy. The Central Business District (CBD) alternates historic buildings with skyscrapers and a lively nightlife. Suburbs like Melville, Newtown or Rosebank have a bohemian atmosphere. With some of the best Johannesburg hotels, Sandton City and Hyde Park are modern residential and shopping areas.
Get to know South Africa’s history at Constitution Hill, the Apartheid Museum, and the Hector Pieterson Museum. Natural areas like the UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Cradle of Humankind’, the Lion Park Nature Reserve, or the Krugersdorp Nature Reserve are located outside the city.
OR Tambo International Airport is the largest airport in Africa, while the smaller Lanseria Airport offers connections to mainly domestic destinations. Hotels near Johannesburg’s airport are a popular choice to avoid the last-minute rush. Check out the wide range of Johannesburg accommodation deals available on Booking.com.

It was too pretty, very organized, and neat, everyone kept saying it was because I was in the posh area but I only chose to see the good in SA because it was just too fine especially since it was in Africa, I also found the whole of SA quite modern having traveled to so many places. I only feel sad I didn't explore the tourist attractions nor nightlife

Because of safety issues, we were advised to avoid downtown Jo-burg which we only saw through car windows. We did tours of the Apartheid Museum and Soweto and found both of these very worthwhile. We stayed in a fabulous small hotel in a very secure and beautiful setting (The Cliffside Boutique Hotel) and staying there was a highlight of our month-long trip to South Africa.

Fourways is a good area to just take a minute for a quick breakaway. There are a few accommodation options with varying prices to fit any budget. Places to eat are close by and affordable. Getting around can be tricky but there public transport available. Like any other place, you have to be aware of your surrounding but we never felt unsafe.

I booked another place,,and it was better than Royal Stina that landlord is the Scammer the securities down stairs said she does that to people and she run away when she has to refund the people,,,I still need my money,,I wouldn't stay in that condition with my kids ,,,I mean nothing was working ,,tv stove,,,toilet,,,no hot water,,,no crockery to use,,,no towels door of the shower was broken and the light in the shower was not working
Hotel Sky was one of the first hotels I stayed in when I travelled to South Africa for the first time before moving into my apartment. It is centrally located, whilst the interiors are a tad outlandish for my sensibilities, they are clean and well equipped.
They have a pretty decent gym and some lovely areas to cowork. Plus, the absence of loadshedding and brilliant bell hops does allow you to have a pretty wonderful experience, particularly if you’re a solo female traveller on a work trip.
Security of the campus it is situated in was impressive. The guy at the campus gate was methodical but courteous. Being the first night of our South Africa trip this was reassuring because you read so much about the security issue in SA on the net. Modest place but having ample of parking space and good sumptuous breakfast in the morning was quite handy as the hotel is situated a bit far from restaurants. I absolutety recommend this place for stay specially if you are with a rental car.
Elton, the staff greeter, concierge, etc, was excellent -- including conversation, drink mixing, and general bonne homme. The room itself, Eiffel, was one of my favorite hotel stays ever in terms of floor layout and general vibe. Ironically, I spoke too long with Elton, missed my flight, spent a frazzled night near the airport, and now must pay more money to fly through Eiffel's Paris on my way home to San Diego. Such is life....:/
The Hotel Location is EXCELLENT, very central in JNB, and being a tall building, has a wonderful view .
The hotel has direct internal access to the Stanton mall with its multitude of shops.
Although South Africa is currently experiencing "Load Shedding", (Regular, scheduled power cuts), the Hotel generators immediately worked within seconds.
The hotel is very comfortable and just across the street from Sandton Gautrain station, which is only a short direct ride from the international airport. It's a good alternative to the hotels directly at the airport for a long layover. The concierge was incredibly friendly and helpful in finding something for me to do during my short stay.
The hotel was very good and the chefs were very polite, save you had one waiter in the restaurant who had this typical South African black folks attitude of looking down upon people. If you can fix this all is well. Unfortunately I can't give you more details about her as I do not want you to fire her.
It was very clean the location is fabulous to get to Gemilli for dinner and Nostra to dance the night away! The decor far exceeded expectations, very much the standard of 4/5 star hotels and value for money! The staff were also incredibly lovely and helpful! Will definitely stay here again!
Very relaxing atmosphere with two pools, wonderful garden and a fish pond. Quiet area central in close proximity to Sandton and the northern suburbs. Wonderful staff and very clean. Will stay again next time I’m in Johannesburg! Thank you Ian, Paul and team for a wonderful and healing stay
Breakfast never fails to disappoint
Centrally located, and a convenient shuttle service to Sandton City.
Rooms are always clean
Staff are friendly and always willing to assist
My choice of hotel when travelling to Johannesburg
Location is great for the Sandton district of Johannesburg, your are directly opposite a large mall with a good selection of food outlets and shops. The Hotels own bar/resteraint Riffs is excellent in quality and value for money.
Breakfast was great, very friendly chef. The view from our room was amazing, right over the Sandton CBD. It was easy to get around the area due to the centrality of the hotel. Overall we had a lovely time.
Stunning rooftop. The panoramic views of Johannesburg from the rooftop are truly breathtaking, especially during sunset. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were very nice, and the food was good.
Hotel facilities were good, and close enough to OR Tambo Airport. Good breakfast, and rooms were clean and comfortable. The underground parking was good, and the hotel was very secure.
This is a great hotel from A to Z and will be my new go-to when visiting JHB. Close to the airport but away from all the noise and hassle of hotels right at the airport.
