To make it even better, we also got to enjoy the New Year fireworks, which added a festive touch to our unforgettable trip. The staff were incredibly helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. Our room was cozy and warm, perfect for relaxing after a night of aurora hunting. The restaurant was fantastic, serving delicious food that made our stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a comfortable, scenic stay with a great chance to see the Northern Lights and celebrate the New Year in a magical setting, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Each cosy cabin at Holiday Village Inari includes kitchen facilities. Most of the cabins have a private bathroom, a sauna, a TV and lake views, while some also include a seating area with a fireplace. WOW. What can I say? This was everything I’ve ever imagined and more. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay in when we were in Inari. From waking up to the beautiful pink skies right above us and sleeping to the view of the aurora dancing over our heads, honestly it was so surreal. I loved that it was situation in a pretty remote area, it was so peaceful. If you’re here for the aurora, don’t even bother booking a tour because you will see it in the comforts of your cabin or you can just wait out my the lake and watch it dance over the frozen river. There’s a trail nearby you can explore by foot during the day that looks really magical with the pink skies, the staff suggested we check it out. The shops and restaurants are a bit of a walk away so we just bought some groceries and ate in our cabin most nights. There’s also a small hut by the lake where you can start a fire and have a little BBQ., which we did after getting some hotdogs from a the shops. Highly recommend this! Anyway we loved the place so much we extended another night, and lucky we did because there was an aurora storm that night too. I cannot recommend this place enough. Staying here was really a dream come true!!!

The hotel has three different room types. The Wilderness Rooms are located in the main building and the newer Juutua Suites and Arctic Rooms in separate buildings. The rooms are double rooms. Some rooms are located upstairs, accessible by stairs. All rooms have a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, WiFi, kettle and hairdryer. Some rooms have a private sauna. Almost everything -location, staff, facilities & food.

Great breakfast. Sup & kayak (we did have 3 hours of sunshine to use in very calm water).

Kätkä Lake Lodge is truly a magical place! We really enjoyed our stay here and honestly, the lodge was our favorite stay during our week long trip to Finland. Firstly, Mikko, the owner is a fantastic host. Always there to answer our questions and really appreciated his help/comments regarding road conditions before we got there. Second, if you are looking for a place that provides peace and tranquility, the lodge is it. We really enjoyed snowshoeing on the trail across the way, it made me so happy! Every room is equipped with a balcony. It is a charming city away from Rovaniemi, it was a bit of scary ride of 2h30min over snow and icy roads. But getting there, we love everything about the place, our room was perfect, the pictures are as true as the experience. We had our private sauna and jacuzzi which we spoiled ourselves everyday. Breakfast and dinner was nice at the receptiom. The place is near to all attraction ski and the middle of nowhere views. We will be returning as we are in love with everything here! We even saw the northern lights from our room.
