Being one of the oldest amusement park, it is also the least safe that I have ever encountered. Our daughter bumped her nose during one of the attraction's dive. I imagine a smaller child might get thrown out. One ticket seller sold us more ticket than we asked and responded in a rude manner when we returned it. Isn't supposed to be a "fun" park? I guess they haven't invented "Employee Training" when this park was built and try to live in the past.
Such fun! Not sure why we arrived there at 9pm of Friday night and it was close (we knew that the closing time was around midnight). We still had fun the day after, especially on the wheel. If you're lucky enough to go during the sunset you won't regret it!
great for families (couls get expensive). Schweizerhaus - absolutely huge beer garden for huge ham hocks and bier. Pre-book the giant ferris wheel - go at night for amazing view of park illuminations
Huge line hidden behind entrance, then another one after you leave the hall (this is dishonest to say the least). Experience itself is very boring, slow and simply does not worth it even without the lines.
Do not fall for the scammer with the shooting arena, near the second wheel. he charges 1 euro per shot and the riffle is rigged, it's always over 40-50 shots even if you shot 10 at most. And he's very aggresive also.
Eat at the Rollercoaster Restaurant, inside Prater. The value for money is great and the food comes to you by a series of rails after being sorted by a robot. It is really fun! Prater is an old school amusement park, is a great place full of traditional attractions!
