If you have any interest in our National heritage and the ANZAC story then this is a place where you could easily spend a whole day. I followed some of my great grandfathers steps during his time on the Western Front of Europe and found out ‘new’ to me history of the battle at Villers Bretonneux on 25th April 1918 where he was wounded and taken prisoner by the Germans. A must see, and allow adequate time to explore. Join the free tour if possible, the guides are exceptional. Restaurant on site, but does not cater for the average tourist visiting this site.
