Hotels near Taylor Square, Sydney

I had an absolutely lovely experience at the Olin Big Hotel In during my recent visit to Sydney. The location is perfect – nestled between Paddington and Darlinghurst, you’re right in the middle of one of the city’s most charming areas. The hotel itself is incredibly cozy and comfortable, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made me feel at home immediately. The staff were exceptional – genuinely friendly and always ready to help with recommendations or any questions I had. The breakfast was a real highlight, offering great quality and variety to start each day. Considering everything the hotel offers, the value for money is outstanding. What really makes this place special is the neighborhood. You’re within easy walking distance of fantastic bars, restaurants, and shops, and if you’re there on a Saturday, don’t miss the beautiful Paddington Markets – it’s just a short stroll away. Honestly, I can’t think of a single thing I didn’t like about my stay. It was a truly memorable experience, and I’d recommend the Olin Big Hotel In to anyone looking for a comfortable base in one of Sydney’s most vibrant areas. I’ll definitely be back!

Location, pool. Suite rooms are huge and comfortable.

The location on the edge of HydePark was fantastic. The breakfast was beautiful.. The staff were so friendly and most welcoming.

Great staff and great location close to train

Great location as could walk to everything but still be away from thr hassle and bussle

This hotel truly impressed me. The location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around and exploring the area. The breakfast is outstanding — incredibly diverse, with a wide selection of options to suit every taste. The service is also exceptional, with staff who are attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel itself is very elegant, yet still reasonably priced, which makes it great value for money. Housekeeping is done on request, and there is a wide range of toiletries available, which is a nice added touch. Overall, I am very impressed with this place and would highly recommend it.

The foyer/ bar area is exquisite

The front desk staff ! She was amazing! Thank you for making our journey so much better!!

Character filled pub stay, sink in room, value for money and does the job for those who just need a crash pad for the night and nothing fancy. Bathroom facilities were plentiful. Keep in mind lots of stairs.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made my experience even more special. The staff were consistently polite, professional, and incredibly efficient—they really go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The check-in process was seamless and impressively fast, making the whole arrival experience smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for both comfort and excellent service.

The location, and value for money

Spotlessly clean. Very comfy bed. Friendly staff. Great bar

We got upgraded to the superior room which was lovely.

Very central, good performance for this price.

Spacious "apartment". Air conditioning in all rooms. Well equipped.

The property is on a quiet road 200m from the Metro. Lots and lots of bars, restaurants, fast food outlets and supermarkets 2 mins walking. The toiletries in the room were very good. About 10 channels for British people to watch on a 31 inch TV. The room was large and a rainwater shower. Lovely large soft towels and very well soundproofed. Get the Opal card and app if you’re using the metro a lot. 15 mins walking to the Australian Museum which is a must.

Good location, clean apt, friendly staff

Really funky hotel. Cool design, cool staff, great location, great value.

Perfect location close to lots of great restaurants and coffee shops. Rooms were very cute and comfortable, friendly staff. Would recommend :)

The beautiful interior design, very tasteful rooms and perfect location in the heart of Sydney! Additionally you can find all sorts of anemities in house like a cute café, amazing bakery, restaurant and cinema.

A really stylish place to stay and quite a large room, including a large bathroom. The staff were lovely and helpful. The bar downstairs is fantastic and was really pumping on the Saturday night, but the sound didn't travel upstairs much at all.

Location, comfort and facilities.

Three things in particular: 1. The room itself was great. 2. The staff were beyond great. To a man/woman. 3. The free laundry. So important when you’re on the road for two months.

Exceptional standard of personal service from the manager Sam. A beautiful esthetic throughout. Quiet luxury. Do not stay anywhere else, I certainly wouldn't
