To visit Girona is to stay in the old historic part of of the city and Girona Cathedral is the perfect place to stay. It captures the beauty and history of the area. Built in the 1400s, it is a spectacular stone walled apartment with a vaulted stone ceiling. The bathroom is stunning. A stone staircase leading up to the bathroom, featuring an incredible stone encased shower. The stone & arch are from the 1400s -- how amazing is that? We were steps away from Girona Cathedral, and right in the middle of the Gothic district. The room had plenty of space and was stocked with coffee, tea, and muffins. Having the refrigerator and microwave was convenient.
