Great stay at Hotel Marseille. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered many options and was quite good. The neighborhood around Gare Saint-Charles is what it is, but the proximity to the train is very convenient.

The front desk was super welcoming and nice! The area was perfect! We were right next to the train station. A lot of places to eat nearby. Old port was about a 15-20 min walk, which wasn't bad at all. The weather was nice. The hotel was cozy and clean! I loved it! Breakfast was delicious. You have to pay separately for breakfast and the spa though. The entrance was great! There's a really nice lobby area too.
