Hotels near Aldgate, London

I was staying in London for one night with a friend so we wanted a twin room where the beds were separated (as opposed to a super king split into two to make two singles with a tiny gap in between). It's hard to gauge on pictures these days with wide angle lenses being used for most promotional photography but the pictures of the Canopy rooms looked promising so I booked and we were not disappointed in the least. The twin room was very spacious, the beds were well apart and were almost double size each with the most luxurious bedding. The ceiling was high and the room very airy and the temperature was perfect during the day and throughout the night. The bathroom was also top notch with great toiletries and a proper hair dryer. The room also had an iron and ironing board. There was a fridge and a water carafe that we filled up with filtered drinking water in the hallway. There was also a Nespresso machine, as well as a kettle with all the bits for teas and coffees. I would 100% stay in this hotel again, in fact, I can't wait :-). As an added note, the location was perfect! Easy walk to the Tower of London and over the bridge to Borough Market and everything the area has to offer. 10/10.

Everything was wonderful. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The rooms beautiful, bed incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail was exceptional and the whole vibe and atmosphere in the hotel was lovely and warm.

I booked an executive room which I did not realise came with access to the executive lounge. That was a really great surprise! When we arrived though, the concierge opened the lounge for us to have breakfast (we could not check in yet) which we were very grateful for. I think the staff were the highlight, it was clear that people enjoyed working at the hotel and it showed in the way they interacted with the guests. Even observing the way managers and staff interacted, the positive culture was clear.

We had originally booked a normal room with just the bedroom and toilet, yet when we checked in we'd been upgraded to a suite – which was a very nice surprise. The rooms were clean and staff amazing

Maximum use of space and the view

Excellent staff - friendly, professional, very welcoming. Beautifully decorated throughout. Enjoyed all the amenities within the bathroom. Loved the big shower. Beautiful views. Delicious cocktail from the hotel bar

We loved our stay. Our room had its own bathroom, plenty of space and was beautifully furnished. After checking in, we were able to go in and out on our own at any time. There was a street food market nearby at lunchtime, a few places to eat in general and it was only a 20-minute walk to the Tower of London. We would always recommend it.

Great Location, lovely room and really nice staff

Brick Lane is a fantastic place to explore with easy access to the tube and therefore the Brick Lane Hotel is a great location to stay. It may not have all the bells and whistles of a 5 star, but the staff are friendly and the place is clean. Excellent value!

The location is right on brick Lane. Was easy to locate and had all the amenities you need for overnight stay. The room was clean, comfortable and although close to busy Brick Lane, it was really quiet.

Great place to stay in London, great location close to Brick Lane and Spitalfields Market as well as to public transport, close to Supermarkets, great breakfast with vegan and gluten-free options, good neighbourhood, great people, clean and spacious room, comfy Absolutely recommended!

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, gorgeous interiors, really friendly and helpful staff, great amenities and excellent location near a couple of tube stations and Spitalfields/Shoreditch/Brick Lane areas. The rooms have everything you need and are very cleverly designed, every detail is thought about. Loved the heated towel rack and storage under the bed. The little details make all the difference.
