Housed in the former Camden Town Hall Annex in London’s King’s Cross neighbourhood, the 1974 Brutalist building has been restored and is The Standard’s first hotel outside America. I travelled alone and didn't want to deal with hauling my luggage up and down the subway stairs.

Positives, the hotel is in a good location, from Euston Station, got the Euston underground to Waterloo 10 minutes, then a 7minute walk to hotel. The hotel is just a 3 minute stroll from the Bridge that takes you to Big Ben, Houses of Parliment. Less than 10 minutes walk to the London eye, which the Tower Dungeons, Shrek and Seal Life are also next to each other. You can get the Boat cruises from hear also. The Theatres such as Drury Theatre are at only a 30 minute walk or cost of a cab from the hotel £10.00.
This is a well positioned hotel around a 10 minute walk from Euston Station and close to the top of Shaftsbury Avenue for theatres. It was clean, and the staff friendly. I was in a single room, which was pretty small, but comfortable enough - ideal if the room was just somewhere for sleeping. The en-suite was small, but functional, and the shower was very good. Breakfast was a bit limited (croissant, bread and jam), but enough to keep you going, and it's not every hotel that includes it now.
Great stay, totally recommended and great value for money. I stayed in an ensuite single room, VERY CLEAN, which I personally find as a luxury in central London. The hotel is at a walkable distance from the Euston Station, which is great. A decent breakfast was included - i had only fried eggs so my opinion on this is a bit incomplete as they serve full english breakfast (which I did not have).
The location was perfect as we'd travelled into London by train. It's a 5 min walk to Euston station for overground and underground access. There are easy alternative transport links outside Euston Station for those who prefer to use taxi or bus services.
Excellent location just of Tottenham Court Road, not far from Euston Station and within a 10 minute walk to Oxford Street, Leicester Square and much more! Lots of places to eat and drink within a few minutes.
The location was great, it’s right next to Euston station and walking distance from Tottenham Court Road. There is water available at the 24 hour reception and free luggage storage. The staff are friendly.
The hotel is in a great location, walking distance from King's Cross St Pancras, Russel Square and Euston Station. The room was decorated well.
Location was good if travelling from Euston station, many shops and cafes just down the road
Central location with modern rooms. Very close to Euston station
If you can, walk on foot instead of taking the underground (tube) it is possible to walk from Euston station to the british library and King's cross in almost a straight line! Work out which tube stations are the nearest to the places you want to go and take the most direct routes.
