Wow absolutely amazing restoration full of the historic character blended effortlessly with all the modern conveniences. A real surprise as online photos do not do this property it's full justice. The location was perfect for our visit to Chester Racecourse. Quiet and remote but still a very reasonable price into Chester via uber.

The cottage was clean, warm and welcoming, with everything in the kitchen I needed during my stay and a deliciously comfortable bedroom. I absolutely loved the channel set up with cameras of the wildlife nearby and seeing the barn owls rest from hunting.

The hostel was set in lovely grounds. Good amount of spaces in car park. Friendly helpful staff. Was nice and clean. Room was spacious and bathroom was good. Shower was nice and hot. It was our first time in a Youth Hostel but it definitely won't be our last. In fact we were that impressed we are going to sign up and join YHA. 😀

The property was very clean, good shower, superbly comfortable bed. Towels and tea towels provided. Nicely quiet. Plenty of hanging space, good hair dryer. Good heated towel rail.
