The breakfast was an unexpected delight. A fellow guest said that we would be in for a treat and we certainly were. The ambience of The Old Deanery is pleasantly informal but the standard of service and food was exceptional. The staff and our hosts were lovely. The building and grounds were beautiful and the situation next to the Cathedral was ideal for walking around the many delights of this small city. We were lucky to stay on a Wednesday evening as there was a vibrant market the following morning. We hope to stay again and sample the food in the restaurant in the evening.

This is an absolute gem. Stunning property, amazing hospitality and quite possibly the best breakfast we have ever had. We have recommended you left, right and centre. Attend to detail, VERY clean and cosy. Very keen to become a part of the local community and use local suppliers - and this again, is reflected in the quality. Cannot fault (and I own my own travel company - I’ve stayed in A LOT of places)

Very close to centre of Ripon. Ripon Cathedral was in 10 mins walk Attractive old pub building. Friendly and helpful staff. Room had been recently redecorated in minamilist functional style Bathroom had been recently updated with generous size shower enclosure. Evening meal in Thai restaurant on ground floor provided an enjoyable experience without having to.leave the building

Everything, it was lovely. Had all you could ever need. Well appointed, great location, very close to the centre, great view of Ripon Cathedral. Parking was easy as well (although I did visit at a weekend). Appreciated the small touches left by the hosts; like the milk in the fridge and the biscuits. Ripon is a lovely little city and works well as a base to explore the local area.

The location of this property is superb. It overlooks the market square, very close to local cafes and shops and a two minute walk to Ripon Cathedral. In addition it’s a short car ride to other local towns and villages such as Harrogate and Ripley. The apartment itself is finished to a very high standard, it’s well equipped, modern and comfortable. The allocated parking space is a bonus too. Overall it’s an absolute gem of a property.

I liked where the inn was as we were able to visit the Ripon Cathedral easy and the Fountain Abbey. The breakfast was excellent and the room was big enough for myself and my daughter who is 10 year old. The parking is great addition and the bar is great.

Room was well appointed clean and comfortable. Shower worked well and toiletries provided. Had evening meal and breakfast which was great..tasty and reasonable prices. Staff very friendly. Quiet at night. Fantastic view of Ripon Cathedral.from window. Enjoyed fact board games provided and could play pool and darts too. We were impressed ..price we paid it was great value for money

A unique hotel opposite the magnificent Ripon Cathedral. The rooms are furnished in traditional furnishing, very tastefully executed. Drinks in the garden were a bonus. The breakfast is amazing, a type of degustation of delicious foods. They catered for my vegetarian needs.

The location is top notch. So close to shops and everything you would need. The house itself is stunning and includes all you need during your stay. Kitchen is more than equipped with all pots and pans, cutlery etc. The Ripon cathedral graveyard is Infront of the property so was lovely and quiet. The little courtyard is nice for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
