Fully renovated in the summer of 2013, Stari Grad is one of only 2 hotels within the Old Town walls of Dubrovnik. This historic residence offers 8 spacious guest bedrooms and free Wi-Fi in all areas. The host, Rodrigo, was at the door to meet us and he was awesome!
Featuring a restaurant and a wine bar, The Pucić Palace is housed in an 18-th century baroque palace just steps away from the Stradun Promenade in Dubrovnik Old Town. Everything was perfect - The staff, the room, the location, the breakfast, the coffee, ...
Located just 5 minutes’ walk from Dubrovnik’s Old Town, this beachfront 5-star hotel is a local landmark. It offers a luxurious 2789 ft² spa and 3 restaurants. Proximity to town, gorgeous views!
Only a 15-minute walk away from Dubrovnik’s Old Town, this luxurious 5-star hotel offers a beach, 2 restaurants and a classy spa center. We loved everything about this place!
It really pays well to visit this charming island, only 10min boat ride from Dubrovnik. The boat comes and goes every half an hour. The island is a perfect getaway from the crowded and heated streets, you can walk among the peacocks and rabbits, visit Diocletian's gardens (filming location of Got), walk freely through the forest from one side to the other, swim on numerous small beaches... Heaven on earth.
If its hot go early and stay later. During the hottest parts for the day site in the shade in the "snack bar" near where the boat drops you off or in the gardens under a tree. Lots of shady walks to be done. We had a refreshing swim in the area near the jetty for the boat back to cool down before heading back. Son use a snorkel to see the fish. There seems to be more fish on the south side of the island than the north near where the boat comes in.
The boat trip/park entrance isn't cheap at Kuna 120. There are no beaches as such but the "Dead Sea" rock pool is very pretty and swimable if you have appropriate footwear. There are some good views of the old town from the northern end, not so much from Fort Royal. Lots of rabbits and peacocks. Swimming is possible near the ferry jetty by way of ladders off the rocks.
We went to Lokrum because of the reviews we read but personally I was disappointed. The only place to lay out is on huge uncomfortable rocks / boulders. If you go take something soft like a yoga mat to lay on. I found it pretty boring so we left after an hour.
The apartment was located well for visiting the Old Town, with a beautiful view overlooking the city walls, harbor, and Lokrum Island. There were occasional thunderstorms while we were there, and it was amazing to sit on the covered balcony and watch waves of rain and lightning roll in from the sea, drinking cocktails with limes the host had provided from her own trees! The storms never lasted long, though, and we were off and sightseeing most of the time. Spectacular location for sunrises and sunsets too!
Nice well equipped and spacious apartment with lovely views from the terrace over the old town and Lokrum island. It is in a quiet location, yet only 10 minutes walk down to Dubrovnik old town (and about 15 minutes up!), and just a few minutes walk to the local supermarket, bar (Bikers Caffe), and the cable car. Marina, the host, was very helpful in organising a taxi transfer from the airport and allowed us to check-out at a later time with no additional charge.
The apartment is very spacious, perfect for a family. It has a terrace with amazing views of the sea, Lokrum island, the Old Town, located at walking distance to all Dubrovnik attractions, reataurants, beaches Banje, Sveti Jacov. Antonio is the best host you can imagine, was available any minute we needed him, especially when our flights were delayed, arranged for our transfers from and to the airport at lower cost. We would definitely stay here again.
The view of the Old Town and Lokrum Island from the apartments terrace was spectacular! The location of the apartment in general was excellent, with only a short walk needed to get into the Old Town. Vesna was very helpful and friendly, and even booked us a transfer from the airport on our arrival. She also provided information on sightseeing and restaurant recommendations, which was very handy. We would definitely stay here again!
So where to start? Mladen and Sasa (father and son) are warm hosts, we got many tips and recommendations on Dubrovnik. The apartment has all the amenities in order to have a pleasant stay. The view..wow! spectacular!!! Old city and Island of Lokrum. And last but not least, is the prime location of the apartment, 5 min walk to old city gate, supermarkets and beaches nearby. Don't hesitate!
The hotel looks very exclusive. Everything from the lobby entrance to the rooms is shiny and looks expensive. Seaview is excellent and you look directly to the island of Lokrum. In the morning you get woken up by the calming sound of the sea waves and birds and in the evening you get to see lovely starry night. Breakfast was really delicious and all of the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The location is fantastic, right next to the Aquarium and Old Port (eg. to visit Lokrum) yet quiet. Hosts' mother met us and was super helpful and kept our luggage for the day after check-out. We only stayed one night, but the place would've worked for a longer stay too, as the kitchen is well equipped and the location is great.
We had ample space to make breakfast and simple meals. There were markets, restaurants and places to swim very near by. Banje Beach and the island of Lokrum were highlights. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The terrace courtyard is charming. Our hosts were very friendly.
The apartment is very nice and clean. There is a large balcony with a view of the old town and the sea. The host is very friendly and gave us a lot of useful information. The island Lokrum is beautiful and worth well for a day trip.
mostly rocky beaches, few gravel beaches; island of Lokrum with beaches, walking paths, parks, playgrounds and an old fortress at the top of the island; mountain Srđ gives a total new landscape after you leave the viewpoint
Old town (all of it!) - best at both ends of day when tourist groups not around. Fransiscan Monastery cloisters if you love sunlight on stone. Town walls for views. Check out Dubrovnik pass for reduced entrance fees and bus. Lokrum Island - 10 mins by boat to leafy peace (not to mention decent restaurant amongst the trees). Excursion to Elafite Islands for enjoyable messing about in boats - and a (rare in these parts) sandy beach.
It is super clean and felt very safe for toddlers to run around. In the evening people some with their creativity, like mimes and exotic birds. There is also a boat taking you to a Lokrum Island which is great to wander and swim with the kids.
Lokrum an island 10 min away from Dubrovnik presents very nice garden
The city walls, the different Palaces, the fort and the old port and Lokrum are my best memories
We really enjoy a paddle around Lokrum the guide was great and shared information about the area as we paddled around.
