The location was excellent, everything was 5 minutes away, shopping, piazzas, Church and both the museums Uffizi & Academia. Breakfast was good but, we ended up having breakfast 2 days at the cafe round the corner which was brilliant. The staff is extremely helpful from the Bellboy to Front Desk. Special thanks to the Bar-Tender in the new wing, for some excellent cocktails and service.

The Campanile Tower
It might require some huffing, and a fair amount of puffing, but it’s worth the climb to reach the top of Giotto’s Campanile. From the top, you get the Florentine panoramas that you’ll have seen gracing many a city postcard. From the same dizzy heights as the hulking dome of Florence Cathedral, you can take a while to gaze down across the terracotta rooftops below.

No use going to Florence and not climbing to the top of the Duomo. The inside of the church itself is not very impressive, but it´s worth every penny to purchase the ticket (directly from the Catedral de Santa Maria - site) to schedule your visit up to the Duomo, and all the other parts outside and around the Catedral. Even the tower is included. The wait in line to go up with tickets is short because it´s at scheduled times - The tower line is a little longer, but sitll worth it. It´s 400 steps to cimb up to the Duomo - but the view is absolutelly worth it. The tower has less stairs, but in my opinion, the Duomo was much nicer to visit. The top of the bell tower is as if you´re in a cage. The Catedral with all the colored marbel is a sight to see.

I am so surprised that we only had to queue for 15-20 minutes, not 2 hours like was mentioned in the many blogs I had read prior to my visit. The Duomo is worth the queue under the summer's sun. No entry ticket into the Duomo unless you want to go up Giotto's bell tower, baptistry and the dome.
Be modestly dressed- no beachwear for both sexes, no exposed shoulders and elbows for women. I saw a few tourists being turned away for not being appropriately dressed. It was a total waste of their time queuing, only to be turned away at the doorway.

The location is perfect. Right in the center of the city and just a small distance from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. The perfect place to explore Florence for its culture, food and great people.
Excellent location! Step outside and to the right is the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. The room was very spacious, elegant and clean. Little touches were very welcoming. Daniel and the team were excellent with communication and assisting us with anything we required. The bed was very comfortable and everything was pristine. They also offered to hold our luggage after check out until we were ready to leave which was a nice touch.
The staff were friendly and gave us a room before the check-in time. The gentleman at the reception assigned us a room on the first floor because we had luggage and there was no elevator. The room was large and spacious. The location was excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the train station and also a 5-minute walk from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
The location was good, right in the old town 3 minutes from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Breakfast was good, with different options of cold and warm food. I still remember those rooms with high ceilings, very authentic.
Incredible location, at a 3 minute walk from the Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore. The bed was comfortable and the room was really clean. Another fantastic extra was AC, which is crucial to survive Florence’s heat in the summer.
Location, location, location! The hotel was in the old part of town. It was a block away from Duomo Cathedral (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore) and 5 min away from Uffizi Galleries!
Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Room was cleaned everyday without asking.
