The location, staff, breakfast and everything was excellent! I stayed on the 7th floor and the view of Kumamoto Castle was unbeatable! The breakfast included a lot of local specialty and all tasted great!

The accommodation was comfortable and close to popular tourist attractions. Although I was a foreigner, the staff were very helpful and enthusiastic.The food at the restaurant was also very delicious.

The hotel was very new and staff were warm and friendly. Central location to food, shopping and walk to castle. Fortunate to have the onsen to ourselves for 30 minutes even though hotel was quite full over the golden week. Best touch was lounge had ice cream, they served free udon noodles at supper, and breakfast was a good spread.

The beds and pillows were the best. Hotel was clean, well serviced with really friendly staff. Had an exceptional view of the castle. Cannot fault this one it’s excellent!

The hotel has a great view of the castle but the higher floors are better. It is also in a good spot for shopping and has a tram stop nearby to go to the train station. The rooms are big for Japan and well appointed. The hotel is oldschool in the best sense. The breakfast is a set menu (western or Japanese with regional touches) and they have excellent coffee Staff is very friendly and helpful

Room is standard and clean. Car parking is quite cheap @ ¥700 / night with multiple in & out. The hotel staff was very friendly. When I asked about next day's itinerary and routes to attractions, they provided me with great help and printed out the information for me. Save my time. Highly recommended

Amazing location - you can see the castle from rooms and the 2nd floor outdoor terrace and the hotel is also at the intersection of 2 huge arcades (one nightlife, one shopping). Adorable rooms and overall design. Free lockers for guests! Cool bar / cafe too with great hangout seating. They also do free walking tours, though not in English.

Location, comfortable room and friendly staff. They have a cozy reading area just in front of the reception. Unfortunately I can't read Japanese, if not I would stay most of the time reading the books, they have so many great books that you can read for free.

The bathroom was beautiful! After other hotels with typical Japanese small wet rooms, this bathroom was lush!!! Really comfortable room, friendly staff, great stay!

The service was amazing. The location is great right in the center of downtown with a lot of things to see. They even let me borrow an iron.
