We had an amazing 7-day stay at Fat Lips Surf Lodge, even during the island-wide power outage. Despite the challenges, the entire crew went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. The lodge is in an ideal location in Catangnan, just a short ride from Cloud 9 and General Luna, with a peaceful garden view surrounded by lush greenery. Tim was incredible, always checking in to ensure everything was okay. With a generator, running water, and fast Wi-Fi, we had everything we needed and never felt inconvenienced. Huge thanks to Kuya Julius, his wife, and the rest of the fantastic team for making us feel so at home. We also had the chance to meet Apple (Tim’s wife), who is so kind and cool. She even gave us some awesome Fat Lips merch to remember our trip! 🙈 And, of course, lil Stevie stole our hearts. We already miss that sweet little guy! 🥹❤️ P.S. You also get a 10% discount at their shop and on surfboard rentals, which was such a nice bonus. We’re already planning to come back next year — and this time, we’re staying for a whole month! Casa Basa was wonderful! All staff are some welcoming, kind, and friendly. I rented a motorbike to use during my stay, and Mich kindly gave me a quick tutorial on how to use it. The property is a 5-10 minute ride from the main General Luna area, but I preferred this; it was so peaceful and quiet at the accommodation. They were also working to make the Starlink internet even better during my stay—this made it easier for me to get some work done. There were occasional power outages due to the island-wide power issues, but Casa Basa has a backup generator, so things were restored quickly. Breakfasts and smoothies were delicious, and the adorable dogs were also a big plus for me. It was a wonderful stay and I would love to visit again the next time I come to Siargao! Thanks to the whole team!

Very cozy place. Bed’s nice, they have a fridge and lot’s of freebies (from coffee, tea, to chocolate bars). The owner and the staff were also very accommodating. Would definitely come back here again.

My time at Amanzohi was nothing sort of absolutely outstanding!!  Donnah was amazing and was able to take care of all my requests.  She even helped arranged transportation multiple times, including airport transportation, and surfing lessons with one of the best instructors. It is an excellent central location in General Luna with everything you need within walking distance.  Across the street is the only restaurant open 24 hours which was great for my early morning breakfast and coffee.   The Greek restaurant next door is also a must try.  The beds are super comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean.  The private pool and shower area are a very nice touch.  A/C and a hot shower are also included which I found out when talking with other travelers that a hot shower is not something always offered.  One thing to mention is the book store across the road does karaoke which you can hear sometimes in the evening but never kept me awake or have trouble falling asleep.  Wherever you stay in General Luna you are going to hear something in the evening hours.   I will definitely be back again.
