It was a wonderful experience. I was very close to cancelling my next trip to Porto so I could enjoy this hotel for longer.
The breakfast was quite varied and eggs were made fresh to order. There were lots of beach chairs in the yard to lounge by the pool, with plenty of sports in the shade or the sun to choose from. The pool is small but still good for a little swim. The yard is very green, with large treed and many song birds. It feels like an oasis.
Built in the 19th-century, this luxurious 5-star hotel is nestled on a sub-tropical garden on a hilltop overlooking the Tagus River. It has an expansive spa and indoor and outdoor pools.
Situated next to Lisbon's Ancient Art Museum and featuring a classic Portuguese décor, this boutique hotel features a rooftop library with a terrace and views of Tagus River.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the exceptional valet parking service made everything effortless. The staff were friendly and professional, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
Our room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. We like the little treat (chocolate) nicely placed in our bed every night. Breakfast was nice with a good variety.
The location was perfect, close to major attractions in Belem yet peaceful. We highly recommend it!

A must see architectural wow!!
A must see architectural wow!! We happened to visit while a concert was going on. To see and hear the organ being played while taking in all the artwork and history of the interior of the church was an unexpected highlight. Walk across the square to Belem Tower, but be sure to stop and take in the view of the monastery at several vantage points. It's particularly stunning as the sun blesses the monestery at sunset.

very long waiting time in the sun (watch out for getting sunburned) It was about 2 hours to wait even with the Lisboa card. On the site from the Lisboa card it said it was a skip the line ticket but it is not. Inside the Monastery is pretty but I don't think it is worth waiting 2 hours, you are in and out in 10 minutes. You only see a very small part of the monastery whereas on the outside it is a massive building....

This is a wonderful and fascinating monastery but we had to queu over an hour to get into the cloisters and then had to queu again to get into the church, which was really disappointing. We arrived about 11 and it was much less busy when we left at 2.30 so try going later in the day.

This place open at 9.30am, get there for around 9.10am ish for nice photo opportunity outside the monastery. Going early avoid the big queue outside and also once inside enjoy the surrounding without crowded people around.

Worth the visit! Go early to avoid lines and crowds.
Worth the visit! Go early to avoid lines and crowds. And remember to get your fresh from oven nata (custard) from the local bakery famed for the secret recipe monks used. No joke, we probably made the trip here for that as much as the monastery.

One of my favorite sights in Lisbon -- this is a must-see.
One of my favorite sights in Lisbon -- this is a must-see. The architecture is gorgeous! Because it's very popular, you do need to plan ahead and get your tickets early, so you are not spending too much time in line.
