Lodgings in Melnik

Sizeable clean rooms, good sized beds and rustic furniture. TV sets with English, Bulgarian, French channels. Bathroom small but clean and as you would expect normally. Restaurant and hotel with romantic fireplaces and actual wooden log-fires. Picturesque village with lots of hotels and restaurants, people friendly and want to help. Very friendly personnel, the ladies in the restaurant and reception were helpful despite very little English language knowledge. Small streets and limited parking in the area - but remember this is a village. Nearby is a village museum that opens at 9am.

Very nice spot several steps away from Melnik. The hosts were extremely hospitable and warm, tasty breakfasts, clean and cosy. We highly recommend!

Clean room, lovely small patio outside overlooking green hills and roses in the garden. The crib for our son was great. Breakfast was a big spread with some fresh fruit jams. Will be back in warmer weather to take advantage of the swimming pool!

Zornitsa is trully exceptional experience, this was our 3rd time there. Everything is exceptional, the rooms, the views, the thermal water and the region of Melnik is trully remarkable!

Exceptional authentic food and gorgeous location

A wonderful family hotel on a peaceful spot next to the river, surrounded by silence and beautiful nature. The hosts are so warm hospitable people, that make you feel like home, cooking delicious homemade meals and tasty breakfasts that you will never forget. The room is very clean and cosy, it has everything you need. I highly recommend Hotel Mehana Vodenitsata if you are looking for an exceptional stay in the region of Melnik and Petrich.

The food and wine was exceptional . Beautiful surroundings and many things to see and do around . I recommend to see the Rozhen monastery and the Zlaten Rozhen winery :)

Lovely host! Beautiful location!

I am not sure from where to start... Silvana was extremely helpful, polite and friendly. She was the person who welcome us, cooked for us and helped with all of our requests. The place was clean, well maintained and cozy 👌 The food was really nice! The breakfast- best omelet my fiance ever had and my traditional Bulgarian "French " toast was lovely too. We highly recommend to visit this place 🙌

Everything was perfect for me

Everything! It is truly a dream place for relaxation, with amazing views, beautiful nature, and horses. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to ride them, but we had the chance to admire their beauty and pet them. The friendly dogs made the atmosphere even more special, and the breakfast was delicious. The road is a little bumpy, but honestly, it wasn’t a problem at all. We arrived at night in a camper, and it was absolutely manageable. And a special mention goes to the owner — a very interesting person whom I hope we’ll have more time to talk to next time. Because next time, we definitely won’t come for just one night, but for at least a week! Thank you for this wonderful stay!

The Velev House is a must for anyone coming to stay in Melnik. The care in which the owners have taken in their renovations is obvious and it makes for a very special stay. It was fun to hear about the history too. And the breakfast - while simple - was delicious. We've never had a pancake quite like that. Melnik itself is special and a stay at the Velev house makes it even more special.

Clean and quiet room, in the very center of the town. The hotel is a small family owned facility, they have also a restaurant and a grocery shop. Historical surroundings, tasty food and good wine. The local wine has been notorious for centuries not only in the region, but also abroad, also in far countries.

Very nice hosts! They cared for us and made sure we have everything needed. Great recommendations for dinner or what else to do. I managed to mess up the keys and was worried. Not a problem for the host - they forgave us the hassle. Thank you very much for a great experience!

We enjoyed our stay at Mario Hotel, it is situated vis a vis from a public park and very close to main commercial street in Melnik. There is free parking on front of the property, on the street. The property itself is clean and well maintained, the pool was perfect to refresh on a hot August day.
